CAS(E) This Sketch

I still have quite a few Christmas cards that I need to make but I knocked a few of them out today. Here is one that I used this sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:

I flipped the sketch sideways for my card and used some of my favorite graphic....chevrons in pretty Christmas colors. I added a bit of seasonal bling and the cutest lil' wood veneer birdie.

In addition to the sketch challenge, I am also entering my card at Frosted Designs 1st Day of Christmas challenge to use a bird on a project.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

I love my Paper Smooches stamps.  They are most definitely my go to stamps.  I love the funky font and cute images.  I am a sucker for a pun and they have some of the best ones.  The SPARKS challenge this time is right up my alley:

I decided to make my own little polaroid for this Christmas card:

I had a few wallets sized photos printed of this picture of my hubby and me in the Florida Keys last spring and got the brainy idea to put the picture on the card instead of just tucking it inside.

I have been busy crafting nearly all day and plan on the same tomorrow so stay tuned....I have plenty of projects to share with you including stockings, wreaths, tags and bags!  'Tis the season to be busy crafting and playing with paper & glue.......

Wishing You a Very Merry Christmas

I recently was very lucky to win the complete collection of American Crafts' new holiday collection "Kringle & Co."  I absolutely love it all.  Black and red is one of my favorite color combos and works so well at Christmas.  On this card I used this December card sketch from Artful Delight:

Lawnscaping Color Challenge

One of my least favorite challenges are color challenges.  However when I saw that Lawnscaping had posted a color challenge with one of my favorite color combos I knew that I would be entering. Here is my take on the challenge:

The little button that I used on my card is from JC Penney and it had a code on it that when I entered it online I found that I had won a $10 gift card.  Woo Hoo!!  I used my Lawn Fawn Claire's ABCs to stamp the sentiment.

Frosted Designs 2nd Day of Christmas

Frosted Designs is having an awesome challenge and for the 2nd day of Christmas challenge I had to use 2 stamps which I did on this one of my favorite creations this Christmas season.  I used Lawn Fawn's Winter owl stamp and sentiment for this card for my hubby.

You can see more details on the challenges at Frosted Designs HERE.

A Gift Box

This round gift box is another one of my thrift store finds last summer for under a dollar.  I put it away and knew I could alter it for a birthday or Christmas gift.  I got it out tonight and used an older Bo Bunny winter collection on it and I am very pleased with the results.

I filled it up with some scrappy goodies and am sending it to one of my Secret Santas.  I hope she likes it.  I almost kept it for myself. LOL

I am entering it in the following challenges:

Making Spirits Bright

I love the challenges that Imaginisce has every month because they are truly challenges.  This month's is no exception.  The challenge this month is to make a layout or card using traditional Christmas colors such as red/green but using a non-holiday Imaginisce collection.  Believe me, this was not an easy one for me.  One thing I did discover....I need to replenish my supply of Imaginisce papers and collections.  I love them so much I have nearly used everything up that I own.  So I placed an online order this week for the entire "Love You More" collection.  It is their new Love/Valentines Day collection and it was love at first sight when I saw it.

But, getting back to the challenge, I used papers from one of their older collections....Dino-Roar for my Christmas card.  I fussy cut the palm trees and decorated them with lots of blingy Christmas "lights".  Kinda of reminds me of the Corona Christmas commercial....lol.  I also used a sentiment from my favorite Paper Smooches holiday set.  I would encourage you to take on this challenge for a chance an an awesome prize from Imaginisce.  Click HERE for details.

I used this sketch from Mojo Monday:

Isn't this a great sketch?  And they are offering prizes this week so check them out as well.
