Week #29 Life Is a Matter of Moments

 

My documenting our life this year week by week is coming along nicely.  I am behind but catching up and hope to be caught up by year's end.  I am doing 2 weeks per week to catch up.  Here is a recent week that I did that actually features a picture of me (gasp!)  This week included:

 

Scoring a set of 2 teak Adirondack chairs and a table for $80

 

Turning 116K on our little blue car

 

Dave buying a new guitar (#17)

Artful Delight November Kits and Sketches

I am so excited because yesterday was my first day on the Artful Delight Design Team.  I applied several times over the past couple of years and obviousley my persistence paid off!  This week I received my first card kit and I plan on playing with it all weekend!  Here is a peak of what I received:

 

Aqua is one of my favorite colors to work with at the moment and this kit is filled with it as well as some awesome blackboard items, ribbon, thick beautiful Bazill cardstock and lovely embellishments.  Of course there is a stamp set and a lovely friendship themed set at that.  Here is a complete list of what is included in the kit:

My good friend and bestie online friend Suzanne created the card sketch and I LOVE it.  I think it might be my new go to sketch.....it is perfect for any theme.  Suzanne and I each encouraged each other one more time to apply for the Artful Delight design team and we were so excited to see that we BOTH were chosen.  Life is good.

Autumn Frame

 

I love crafting with the colors of fall.  I also love finding great little items (like this solid wood frame) for practically nothing at thrift stores. I paid $1 for it.  It had a company logo in the lower right corner which I was easily able to cover up with some fun embellishments.  I used a 3x4 card from Simple Stories fall collection from last year in the frame.  It took me about 10 minutes to make this cute little altered frame and I think I will used it as one of the the decorations on my food table at our Thanksgiving dinner in a few weeks.

Sweet Little Wreath

I have looked for and wanted the Martha Stewart branch punch that I used to make this sweet little wreath forever.  I finally found another scrapping buddy that traded it with me for a stamp set I had won and wasn't interested in.  Win, win situation for both of us.

Another Halloween Gift Bag

I made my granddaughters matching gift bags except Abby's has a ghost on it and this one is for little Izzy and it has a jack-o-lantern on it.  I sent this up to the midwest from Florida with candy and goodies in it.  I hate missing all the holidays with my grandchildren but the one thing they can count on is getting happy mail from Grandma.

Spooky Gift Bag

I made this cute little gift bag for my granddaughter Abby who is 5 1/2.  I just LOVE the little felt ghost I used.  I filled it with a cute Halloween DVD and of course some candy.  It is now on the way up to the Midwest from Florida hopefully to put a smile on a very sweet little girl's face.
