The Most Important Meal of the Day

There is only one thing I love more than coffee (well beside my hubby, sons and grandchildren...lol) and that is making coffee themed cards. I am building quite the collection of coffee themed cards. This stamp set from Your Next Stamp is one of my new sets and this is the first time I have inked it up.  I used the current sketch #51  from Your Next Stamp:

I just rotated the sketch a bit to make it work for me. I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You Challenge.

Alright, that is it for tonight.  Tomorrow I will be back to share some Christmas crafts. Thank you for stopping in my blog tonight.

Thinking of You

I really do not like making sympathy cards and I will often buy them instead of making them. But recently I needed one for a family member who lost their mother and I was inspired by these beautiful papers in my stash from DCWV. I also used their November card sketch:

In addition to the DCWV, I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thinking of You Challenge  That beautiful sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set of clear stamps called appropriately Handwritten Greetings so I am entering this card in the Work It Wednesday Challenge which is to use a Simon Says Stamp exclusive product.

Thanks for stopping by tonight...now back to watching election results.

25 Days of Christmas Tags #3

I have been busy getting my craft on....and I need to be as I have a lot of card and tags to make for this Christmas season and not a whole lot of time left to get it all done. I have been really inspired by the tags on Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. Here is my tag inspired by a creation I saw on Day 3 by Larissa Heskett.

And here is Larissa's tag:

I loved her pine boughs and how they came off the tag and that red bow. You can see all the tags of Day 3 HERE

Thanks for stopping by today. Since Monday is not one of my favorite days, I am glad it is OVER! lol

Jingle All the Way

Oh. My. Word. I absolutely LOVE this set of Christmas stamps from My Favorite Things.  This stamp set is actually from last year but they were sold out year so I wasn't able to grab a set.  Then a couple of weeks ago I won a gift card to MFT and I was able to snag this set. This is the first Santa I inked up....isn't he fun? I used the MFT Sketch 305:

I colored him with my Copics and added a rhinestone for the pom-pom on his hat and lots of glittery Stickles on his beard and hat. So I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Shine Like a Diamond Challenge.

Well, that is it for me on this Monday....thanks for stopping in and checking out my work.

25 Days of Christmas Tags #2

I am following along again with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags that Tracey McNeely does every year and I am blown away by the talent.  I was inspired today by the tag on Day #6 by Ardyth Percy-Robb. I loved he distresses sky background and sought to re-create it on my tag. I used the resist technique on my sky. Here is my tag:

Here is the tag that inspired me:

I am also entering this tag of mine in the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 383 -- Trees

Well, another weekend is in the books. I did quite a bit of craftiness this weekend so I will be back tomorrow to share some more of my projects with you. Thanks for popping in.

Joyful -- 25 Days of Christmas Tags

One of the things I have come to look forward to in November is Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  There is so much inspiration....I get very motivated to start my holiday crafting in earnest.  I have been making Christmas cards since July but these tags are a welcome diversion. The truth is that most of the tags I create this month will find their way onto a card but some are used as gift tags and I even have hung a few of my favorites on my tree as ornaments.

Day 1 featured my current favorite stamp company CAS-ual Fridays.  I bought a new stamp from them this year and used it on my tag:

I was inspired by this card by Jeanne Jachna

I used the same image stamp and added a little tag with the sentiment just like Jeanne. My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.
You can see all the tags that have been shared so far and link up your creations to be entered to win some fun prizes. Just click HERE to start at Day 1.

Thanks for stopping by....I hope to have plenty of tags to share this month.

Recover Rapidly

A friend of ours just had major reconstructive surgery on his foot requiring a long and arduous recovery.  I wanted to send him a not of encouragement so I made this card with a very neglected Stampin' Up stamp set.  Don't you just love that little bandage?

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Thinking of You Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog....now I have to get back to game 7 of the World Series....Go Cubs!!
