Christmas in July -- Sketch-n-Scrap Card Sketch

I am working on my Christmas in July cards. I think I will be continuing to make these throughout the rest of the summer and the upcoming fall. I did not get near my goal of 35 cards this month but I have been doing a lot of other crafting as well. I used the July sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

Happy BirthdayTough Guy

Some people struggle with them but I love making masculine cards. I really like the way that this one turned out. It is for our friend up in Michigan who happens to have the same birthday as I do next week. I used this fun sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

Show Time -- Stick It Down Sketch Challenge

I really love documenting in my Traveler's Notebook. It is the perfect size and the pages come together very quickly. I love how I am able to adapt most sketches to this size also. That is what I did with this sketch from Stick It Down:

I am entering this page in their July Single Page Sketch Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope your Monday was productive....funny how I do not mind Mondays anymore now that I am retired! lol

Smart & Sweet As Can Bee

I bought an adorable card kit from Simon Says Stamp recently and this stamp set Bee Yourself came in it. I decided to make a back to school card for my oldest granddaughter, Abby who is going to be entering middle school in just a couple of weeks.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Back To School Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by....hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Week 24 Retirement

Week 24 in my Traveler's Notebook documents my retirement. I have been in the work force for 45 years nearly non-stop (a few months off when my oldest was born and then I started a home-based day care.) So needless to say, I was REALLY looking forward to my retirement. I used this awesome sketch from Lisa Hidy:

I am entering this spread in her TN Time Sketch Challenge
and in Lori's TN Time Challenge to include stripes and at least one star.

I have to say.....this is one of my favorite pages in this current TN. Thank you Lisa and Lori was inspiring me.

Inky Paws Challenge #102

I love sketch challenges. When I saw the above sketch, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card with one of my Newton's Nook Christmas stamp sets. And I did:

My Favorite Things Camp Create -- Glitter Card

I was able to spend a couple of hours in my craft room today and made another card for My Favorite Things Camp Create. This time I took on the Day 5 Glitter Challenge. I die cut these MFT snowflakes from some glitter paper and made the celestial looking background with Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch ink, paint and droplets of water and a few silver glitter enamel dots.

I added a simple sentiment from the Birdie Brown My Favorite Things Santa's Elves stamp set. It feels good to get another Christmas card done....5 down 75 to go....lol.
I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday Challenge to Use Tim Holtz Products.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
