Where We Live

I am very fortunate to live in an area where people spend money to come and visit. The charming town of Flagler Beach still has a nostagic feel of old Florida to it. That is part of why we love it here but it sure can get busy in the summer. A few years ago Southern Living named Flagle Beach one of the Top Ten Best Kept Secrets of the South. Ha! Well the secret is out now...lol But we still love it here. For this page I used the Day 14 sketch from Paper Issues Stay Sketchy challenge'

You're Awesome

I recently took advantage of an awesome sale at Sugar Pea Designs and ordered this fun sunburst cover plate and a stamp set that this sentiment "You're Awesome!" is from. I am entering this card in the Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge 66. 

I was inspired by the colors on the inspiration photo. The sentiment is stamped in green with some green enamel dots as embellishments.

Missing You During This Social Distancing

This adorable image was a free download recently from Stamp Anniething. I printed it, colored it up and it is now on the way to the midwest with a series of 6 graphic novels for my 12 year old granddaughter Abby, I sent out a load of packages to the grandkids yesterday to give them something to occupy themselves during this stay-at-home time. I am sure they are all driving my sons a little crazy. I had the girls for a little over three weeks last summer and knew I had to plan something everyday to keep them busy. Boredom is not easy to deal with for anyone.

Happy Birthday, Friend

I have a dear friend with whom I have been friends nearly 50 years. Her birthday is coming up and I wanted to make sure that I remembered it with a card. Newton's Nook has a fun Inky Paws

Birthday Theme Challenge 

going right now so I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets of theirs and paired it with this fun cactus paper. I am entering this card in their challenge.

Hola

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I was excited when I found the avocado paper in my stash since I had a brand new stamp from Paper Smooches with an avocado on it. I hope my friend Suzanne likes avocados because this is on the way to her for her birthday nest week although it would work perfectly as a masculine birthday card also.

The current challenge at Paper Smooches is to create something happy. That is easy-peasy with their stamps because they always make me smile. I am entering this card in the Happy Challenge.
