Fun Gift Cards

This Christmas season we gave mostly cash and gift cards because the kids in the family are all teens, twenty-somethings and pre-teens and that is what they all wanted. So I made some cute and fancy gift card/cash holders for them. For these I used a die and stamp set from Your Next Stamp and I am entering it in their current Challenge #194 -- Gifts

I will be back tomorrow to share another entry for this challenge. Until then....stay warm.

Snowone Like You

This year my family out of state are all getting gift cards so I am making them individual Christmas cards with matching gift card holders. This is one of my favorites that I made this year. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set from Newton's Nook....it was the first time using it. I am entering this card in the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Color Challenge. The challenge was to use kraft, teal, silver and white and I think it worked out perfectly with this card. I love that glittery silver paper....perfect paired with snowmen. Here is the card pictured with the gift card holder. It is formy 21 year old grandson so you know I had to use a funny sentiment on the gift card holder about getting a lump of coal. Seriously he is a great guy and I am super proud of him.

Well that is it for now....thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you are enjoying the holiday season.

Merry Christmas Sweetheart

My younger son just got engaged on Thanksgiving. I couldn't be happier for both of them as I absolutely love Eliza. My son is 41 and never been married and I am so happy that he has found happiness and a wonderful life partner. This card is for Eliza. They live 1100 miles away and this year I am just sending gift cards to everyone so I made a coordinating gift card envelope. I used this perfect sketch from

That's about it for now. This is such a busy time of the year....my To Do List for today is full and I need to get crackin'. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Peace, Love & Treats

I have been very busy finishing up my Christmas cards the last couple of weeks. For this card I used a stamp set from Your Next Stamp that I had never used before and it is sooooo cute. I am entering this in the Candy Cane Challenge #193 at Your Next Stamp. I used red and white stripe paper that looks like a candy cane.

Well back to my craft room....I am making gift card holder tonight for my grandkids and nieces and nephews. It's a lot of work but I love being creative. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy Napsgiving

Who doesn't love a good nap after a big Thanksgiving dinner? In my family an after dinner nap on Thanksgiving is as much a tradition as the turkey and dressing meal itself. So I really loved this sentiment when I saw it on a recent Simon Says Stamp release.
I used this sketch from Sketch ~N~ Scrap:

And here is my card:

Thanks for stopping by my blog....I really appreciate it.

Coffee Is Always a Good Idea

This card is for the Newton's Nook Fall Theme Challenge #181. I just love my coffee and it looks like Newton loves coffee too in this adorable image I colored up. Fall is my favorite time to craft...I just love the fall colors, Unfortunately we do not get much fall colors or weather here in Florida but itis my favorite season nonetheless.

I used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That's about it for now. Thanks for swinging by my blog.

Inky Paws Challenge #172

Well the birthday month is about wrapping up. This is the last card I have to make until June and this one is for my sister who is a real animal lover. Me, not so much. I mean it's not that I don't like animals, I just didn't want any living with me. But nearly 3 years ago my hubby talked me into getting a French Bulldog puppy since I was retired and I became smitten. Our Daphne is the light of our life and keeps me company all day. I colored the Frenchie on this card to look like our girl.

I used all Newton's Nook products on this card except for the brown and white cardstock. I love that paw print stencil. I am entering this card in the

Well, that is all for now. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #121 Inspired By A Book, Movie or A Song

I love playing along with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenges but this one really had me stumped for awhile and then last night I got an idea. Way back when I was a preschool teacher and I remember reading to my class a book called The Little Duckling Who Wouldn't Get Wet by Gek Tessaro.

That book inspired this card I made today:

I used all Lawn Fawn products and I am entering it in the

That is it for now. My husband roasted a whole chicken today and just took it out of the oven so i better get the table set and get ready to eat. Have a wonderful evening.

Two years ago today I was in Hawaii with my husband on probably the most fabulous trip we have ever taken. I guess I was feeling the Hawaiian vibes today as I made this mostly all die cut birthday card for my sister-in-law.

I used all Lawn Fawn products except for the blue and the white card stock and the bling in the flower centers. I am entering this card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #120 -- All Things Birthday

That's about it for today. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
