Just For You! Happy Valentines Day

I had fun making the alcohol ink background for this card. I love the color combo of red, pink and silver. I think I will send this card to my in-laws. My mother-in-law told me recently that she has saved every hand made card that I have ever sent them. That made me feel awesome.

I found and used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap. It was perfect for what I had envisioned for this card. I am entering it in their January challenges.

That is it for tonight. I hope you have been keeping warm. Today was even cold (relatively) here in Florida.

Will You Be My Valentine?

I love making Valentines....and right now I am knee deep in making them. I worked two evenings on this one for my son's girlfriend and have come to the conclusion that I do not like coloring hedgehogs...at least not until I improve my Copic coloring skills. But I think Steff will like it. I used this great sketch by Lisa Hidy for Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering this card in the Sketch-n-Scrap sketch challenge
and

That is it for now.....thanks for stopping by my blog. Stay warm!!

Love You Tons

Here is a sweet little card that I made for some friends of ours. Those adorable elephants and sentiments as well as the papers and the dies used to cut out the elephants are all from Lawn Fawn. I was inspired by their Lots of Love Challenge:

I am entering this card in this Challenge #45 -- Lots of Love. There is plenty of time for you to play along too!

Thanks for dropping in....hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Growing Old is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional

Just a few more pages and the Disney album that I have been working on will be finished. For this page I used this fun sketch from Stick It Down;

I have bee busy crafting....I will be back soon to share a Valentine card.

Happy Brrrrrthday, Noah

Our nephew Noah is turning 11 next week and in honor of his January birthday, I decided to make a winter themed birthday card for him with my new set of stamps from My Favorite Things. It is called Ready, Set, Snow and features not only this polar bear but also a penguin and a rabbit on snowboards....so fun! I also used the sketch this week from MFT:

I kind of flipped this sketch for my card....having the focal point polar bear (represented by the circle on the sketch) more on the left of my card rather the right as seen on the sketch. I added rolling snowy hills instead of the parallel lines on the sketch. All in all I was pleased with the end result.

I am entering this card in the MFT Sketch 420 Challenge.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Clean & Simple Challenge

That's is for now....hubby and I are going out on a date night for some pizza. My two favorites things....my husband and pizza!!

Eat, Drink and Be Cozy

Just wanted to share a quick card I made tonight for a couple of challenges and to build my card stash. I used this sketch from Stick It Down:

I was inspired by the blues and grays and attempted to create a cozy card (along with a cozy sentiment). All the inspiration came from this picture:

I am entering it in the Inspired By....Getting Cozy Challenge.

That's it for tonight. Time to retire to the couch with a cozy blanket.

Abby's Valentine's Day Card

I started on my Valentine's Day cards today. I love Valentine's Day because I love to tell my family and friends that I love them. I hope I get a chance to make a lot of cards this year. This one is for Abby who is nearly 11 years old. She is a real animal lover so I think she will like the polar on her card. I used this awesome sketch from Julee Tilman:

I just LOVE Julee's sketches....they really inspire me. I am linking up my card on her blog
Poetic Artistry. That is about it for now. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.
