Family

I am working hard on catching up on my documenting in my Traveler's Notebook. This is one of my favorite photos of the year. It includes most of my family from the Chicago area when I was up there in September. Unfortunately my teenage grandsons were not with us this evening so they are missing from the photo. I used this sketch from The Scraproom Blog:

That is it for now....thanks for stopping by my blog.

Week 33

After finishing all my Christmas crafting, it felt good to turn my attention to catching up with my
52 Favorites in my Traveler's Notebook. I love playing along with Lisa and Lori's TN challenges on their blogs. I used this sketch from Lisa:

I am entering this in the TN Time sketch challenge on Lisa's blog My Creative Endeavors.

For Lori's challenge this month it was Anything Goes on her blog My Happy Life.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....hoping to get crafty this afternoon so I can have something to share tomorrow with you.

Izzy Turns 7

I m catching up and filling in my two granddaughter's scrapbooks. This page documents the celebration for Izzy's (my youngest grand) 7th birthday in 2018.

I really used some OLD stash for this page....the striped and multi-colored papers are from My Mind's Eye circa 2013 0r so. The letters in the title are even older from a company that is not longer in business.....Nikki Silvis. I used this sketch from Scrap Our Stash:

I was inspired by the colors in the cartoon....especially the blue and yellow. I included 3 gold hearts on the right tag and a bow on the same tag as required by the challenge.

I am entering this page in the December Saturday Cartoon Inspired Sketch Challenge at
Scrap Our Stash.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....tomorrow I have a page in my Traveler's Notebook to share.

Autumn

I was in the Midwest in September for a few days and was able to go apple picking with my sons and grandkids. On the way out to the apple orchards there was a beautiful field of sunflowers. My 14 year old grandson Cole actually posed for a picture with his dad, my son Adam and another picture alone for me. If you have a teenage boy, you know how unlikely and rare that is.

Most of my scrapbook pages I give away but this one I am keeping for my own scrapbook. I used the fun sketch #191 from Sketch-n-Scrap and am entering it in the sketch challenge. I really love the way this page turned out.....thanks Lisa for your inspiring sketch.

That is it for now....I will be back tomorrow with another fall layout that I just finished up. Thanks for checking out my blog.

Santa Paws

We got a new puppy  this year and being a new dog mom (I never owned a dog before) I am surprised at how this little pup has captured my heart. It is also fun to dress her up. Some things she likes wearing , some things she merely tolerates (like this Santa hat) and some things she pulls off right away.

I used this sketch by Rochelle Spears:

Instead of the banner, I used some punched evergreen branches and although it is hard to see, there are also some red sparkly berries among the branches. Otherwise, I followed the sketch pretty closely. I am entering it in the December sketch challenge on Rochelle's blog.

I am also entering it in the December Scrappy Friends challenge at the Scrap With Stacy blog. Her photo inspiration board was so cool....it had a picture of a dog with antlers on it which inspired me to use this picture of our pup wearing holiday head gear and there was also a picture of a rustic door with lots of woodgrain which inspired me to use woodgrain paper on this page.

That is it for now....I will be back tomorrow with another scrapbook page that is currently on my desk under construction. Thanks for popping in.
