Family

I am working hard on catching up on my documenting in my Traveler's Notebook. This is one of my favorite photos of the year. It includes most of my family from the Chicago area when I was up there in September. Unfortunately my teenage grandsons were not with us this evening so they are missing from the photo. I used this sketch from The Scraproom Blog:

Izzy Turns 7

I m catching up and filling in my two granddaughter's scrapbooks. This page documents the celebration for Izzy's (my youngest grand) 7th birthday in 2018.

I really used some OLD stash for this page....the striped and multi-colored papers are from My Mind's Eye circa 2013 0r so. The letters in the title are even older from a company that is not longer in business.....Nikki Silvis. I used this sketch from Scrap Our Stash:

I was inspired by the colors in the cartoon....especially the blue and yellow. I included 3 gold hearts on the right tag and a bow on the same tag as required by the challenge.

I am entering this page in the December Saturday Cartoon Inspired Sketch Challenge at
Scrap Our Stash.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....tomorrow I have a page in my Traveler's Notebook to share.

Autumn

I was in the Midwest in September for a few days and was able to go apple picking with my sons and grandkids. On the way out to the apple orchards there was a beautiful field of sunflowers. My 14 year old grandson Cole actually posed for a picture with his dad, my son Adam and another picture alone for me. If you have a teenage boy, you know how unlikely and rare that is.

Most of my scrapbook pages I give away but this one I am keeping for my own scrapbook. I used the fun sketch #191 from Sketch-n-Scrap and am entering it in the sketch challenge. I really love the way this page turned out.....thanks Lisa for your inspiring sketch.

That is it for now....I will be back tomorrow with another fall layout that I just finished up. Thanks for checking out my blog.

Santa Paws

We got a new puppy  this year and being a new dog mom (I never owned a dog before) I am surprised at how this little pup has captured my heart. It is also fun to dress her up. Some things she likes wearing , some things she merely tolerates (like this Santa hat) and some things she pulls off right away.

I used this sketch by Rochelle Spears:

Instead of the banner, I used some punched evergreen branches and although it is hard to see, there are also some red sparkly berries among the branches. Otherwise, I followed the sketch pretty closely. I am entering it in the December sketch challenge on Rochelle's blog.

I am also entering it in the December Scrappy Friends challenge at the Scrap With Stacy blog. Her photo inspiration board was so cool....it had a picture of a dog with antlers on it which inspired me to use this picture of our pup wearing holiday head gear and there was also a picture of a rustic door with lots of woodgrain which inspired me to use woodgrain paper on this page.

That is it for now....I will be back tomorrow with another scrapbook page that is currently on my desk under construction. Thanks for popping in.

Sketch-n-Scrap Card Sketch 158

Last weekend I needed to make a card for my father-in-law's birthday. I pulled out this stamp set which is one of my favorite for masculine cards. I paired it up with this awesome sketch from

Warm Cozy Wishes

Still making Christmas cards and enjoying the process....their is so much inspiration online right now, sometimes my head feels like it is going to explode from all the ideas I get.  I just loved these little cups of Christmas cocoa and wanted to showcase them on a card. I love hot cocoa...not as much as coffee but it is in the top 3 favorite beverages.

I used this fun sketch from Lisa at Sketch-n-Scrap:

I will be back tomorrow with another card using a sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap. This time however, I made a birthday card with it.

That is it for now. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Waterfall Card

I wish we had more of a fall here in Florida.....we are still having temps near 90 degrees here and I live in the northern part of the state. Well, if I cannot have fall colors outside, I can use them on my cards. This is the first waterfall card that I ever made and I am really digging it. When you pull the ribbon, the flaps pull down in a cascade effects and the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment can be seen.

I am entering this in the Cupcake Inspirations Fall Theme Challenge 481

That is about it for now. I will be back tomorrow to share a fun Halloween layout.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #62

I needed to make a get well card for a friend and my favorite stamp set to use is my older
Lawn Fawn set and I also wanted to enter the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #62.
Here is the card I made:

As you can see, I did not go with a Halloween theme but instead I was inspired to make a horizontal 4.5 x 5.5 card. I used a navy background and the same colors....I even used the hearts along the bottom of the card and enamel dots. Thank you Lawn Fawn for inspiring this card from beginning to end.

Well I hope you had a fun weekend. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Wishing You a Frightful Howloween

I am excited to bring you the third card this month that I created with an awesome sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap celebrating World Card Making Day (month). I am so honored to have been asked to be one of the guest designers this month. Here is Lisa's awesome sketch that I used for the above card:

Because my image was so large, I decided to make this a 5x7 card. I like switching it up every now and then in my papercrafting. Being in a rut hampers my creativity. Do you find that to be the case?

I just love that little French bulldog image from Simon Says Stamp that I used on this card. I have been collection French Bulldog stamps for a couple of years now hoping that after I retire we could find a Frenchie pup to add to our family. In September this little beauty joined our family.

Her name is Daphne and she is adorable and loving and also at times very rambunctious and mischievous but I guess that is what being puppy parents is all about. It is exhausting keeping up with her and training her but we love her.

I hope you will join along and play with us this month....there is an awesome prize to be had. You can see all the details HERE

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Halloween challenge.

Thanks for checking out my blog....have an awesome weekend.

Zombie

I am so happy to be one of the guest designers this month at the Sketch-n-Scrap blog. Today I am sharing my second card with today's sketch:

I just love Lisa's sketches and this sketch was so versatile that I had trouble deciding what to do with it. In the end, seeing that I have a bunch of Halloween cards to make, I inked up my Tim Holtz Zombies for the first time and created this card. I sprayed Distress Oxide spray on black cardstock for the simple background.

I hope you will play along with us this month....you can see all the details and awesome sketches HERE

Thanks for stopping in....have a wonderful weekend.

World Card Making Day (Month)

I am always excited about World Card Making Day but I am even more so this year as I have been invited to be a guest designer at Sketch-N-Scrap for their MONTH long celebration of card making. I love the card sketches at Sketch-N-Scrap and almost always play along every month with all of them. Here is the first WCMD card sketch that I used for the above card:

Of course, I made a coffee themed card which is my favorite type of card to make....I make them for all occasions. I am even in a monthly coffee card swap....FUN!

I hope you will play along with us this month. Sketch-N-Scrap not only has awesome card sketches but the scrapbook page sketches are inspiring and awesome also. You can see all the details on WCMD (month) HERE

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Think Pink Challenge

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....I will be back next Saturday with another card and

My Favorite Things Sketch #456

When I saw the sketch at My Favorite Things, I immediately envisioned this card featuring our new puppy. It turned out pretty much the way I pictured it which is always nice when that happens. I am going to send it to our breeder for Christmas this year. I used card sketch #456 from

But little by little I should be able to catch up on my 52 Favorites. This is week 32 which was my birthday week. I used this sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap:

Week 30

I love adapting sketches to fit in my Traveler's Notebook. This sketch from Rochelle Spears worked perfectly to document week 30...the week I first attended my crafty ladies gathering since retiring.

Instead of 2 photos, I added a photo and a journaling box.but otherwise I stayed pretty true to the sketch. I also used the colors from the photo inspiration this month from Scrap With Stacy.

I am entering this page in both of these challenges:

I am enjoying building up my stash of cards and I know I have an anniversary coming up in November for my brother and sister-in-law. When I saw this sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap, I knew it would be perfect. The papers, banners and rose gold heart are all from PinkFresh Studios.

Well back to watching football and my hubby just dished me up a bowl of his delicious chili. I love fall....don't you?
