We Will Miss You

I really love the memory keeping that I am doing in my Traveler's Notebooks this year. And I love the TN challenges that Lisa and Lori are sponsoring on their blogs. The monthly challenge is called TN Time With Lisa and Lori. Lisa usually creates an awesome sketch and Lori has a challenge to include if you want to enter both challenges with one page. I love a 2 for 1 challenge. Here is the sketch of Lisa's:

Lori challenged us to use our favorite color. My favorite color is aqua which I used for the background of my spread. I am entering this layout over at her blog

That's about it for now....back to monitoring Hurricane Dorian and praying that it misses us on the east coast of Florida but also misses our friends and relatives in the Carolinas.

Thinking of You

I never have a thank you card or a thinking of you card available when I need one....even after nearly 3 months of retirement. So I whipped this card up quickly yesterday using a great stencil from
CAS-ual Fridays. I am entering this card in the Monday Simon Says Stamp S Is For... Challenge. Of course for my entry, S is for stencil.

That's it for right now....I have to go back and watch the forecast track of Hurricane Dorian on the weather. Looks like for the 3rd time in 4 years we are looking at a hurricane in our backyard. Time to move to Colorado.

Unleash Your Joy

I have never been much of a dog lover but recently my hubby and I have fallen in love with the French Bulldog breed and the middle of September we will be bringing our new puppy home. Ever since discovering adorable Frenchies I have really enjoyed stamping with dog stamps and My Favorite Things have some that are off the chart cute. I used one of their stamp sets and their sketch this week to create the above card. Here is the sketch:

I am entering this card in the MFT Card Sketch 451.

That's it for today. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Merry Christmoose

Isn't his the most adorable moose you have ever seen? This Sugar Pea stamp set is definitely one of my favorites and this moose makes his appearance on my cards at least a couple of times per year. Here he is on a Christmas card that I made using the current sketch featured on the

I just used the sketch and not the inspiration photo.

Thanks for stopping by my blog....I hope you are having an awesome weekend.

Surprise Party Guests

I was looking through my granddaughters' scrapbooks recently and saw that I have fallen behind in documenting their last two birthdays. So, I printed off the photos and picked the sketches and got to work. This is the first one that I completed. It documents Abby's 10th birthday when Dave and I drove up to Chicago from Florida as a surprise. It was fun attending her party which was at a roller rink even if we did not get on roller skates ourselves. I use the double page sketch from

Here is a closer look at each page:

That is about it for now.....Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a wonderful weekend.

Camp Create Day 2 Magnificent Masking

I was really excited to see My Favorite Things run a second week of their Camp Create. I was not able to play along every day when they did it a few weeks ago. I am going to make an attempt to play along with each of the day's challenges although I am not necessarily doing them in order.

My first challenge I played along with was Day #2 Magnificent Masking Challenge.
Here is my card:

As you can see, I am continuing to work on my Christmas cards and I think this is the perfect card for me to send from sunny Florida to one of my family members or friends up north in December.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog,

You Are Flippin' Fantastic

These colors are probably my favorite colors to craft with so needless to say, I had a great deal of fun putting this card together. I had never inked up this darling little crab stamp set from Your Next Stamp until now. What was I waiting for??? What's Brewin'?

I really enjoy a monthly coffee-themed card swap that I am in with other coffee-loving cardmakers. This is the card I made for our August swap. I used this sketch #151 from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That is about it for now.  I am going to go organize our master bath in the new linen tower that we picked up today. Thank you for checking out my blog.

Pool Party

After documenting my granddaughters' trip here to Florida in an album for them, I decided to add some extra pages in my 52 Favorites Traveler's Notebook so I could remember all the moments and not just the top moments. I love how easily some 12x12 traditional layout sketches adapt to the Traveler's Notebook size canvas. I used the single page August sketch from Stick It Down:

Well it is a quiet, lazy summer afternoon....way too hut and muggy to go pull weeds so I think I might head back to my craft room and see what else I can pull together. Thanks for visiting my blog.
