Miss You So Much

I wanted to make a sweet and summery card this week. Lately the sentiment I reach for most often is Missing You. Because of this pandemic situation, I have been staying home and I have not seen anyone but my husband in months. So I miss  But I have risk factors so I need to stay safe and staying home is the best way to do so.

I am entering this card in two challenges:

Hippo Birdie To You

I have just been having a renewed love affair with Lawn Fawn stamps. I {might} have spent nearly $200 and stayed up until midnight last night to get my hands on their new release. In the meantime while waiting for my new goodies, I am digging out and using some of my vintage LF stamps like this hippo and birdie. I just love the pun-ny sentiment.
I used this Sketch-n-Scrap sketch 171 for my card:

17 Years Week 19

We recently had our 17th wedding anniversary. There was not much of a celebration due to the Covid-19 pandemic but I did order a little cake for us and we took a family selfie in the back yard. Dave bought me flowers and candy and we discussed how we will celebrate next year.

To document the day I used this awesome sketch by Lisa Hidy for her sketch challenge on her blog
My Creative Endeavors -- TN Time With Lisa and Lori

I am also entering this spread at Lori's Blog -- My Happy Life TN Time With Lisa and Lori. Lori's challenge was to create a spread about anything.....can't get easier than that, right??

That is about it for now. It is almost the weekend which I really look forward to. I am retired but my hubby still works so I look forward to the weekend and spending time with him.

Thanks for dropping in.

Gifts From Grandma -- Week 17

Another page in my Traveler's Notebook finished thanks to the inspiration of this awesome sketch by Lisa Hidy:

I am entering this spread in the May edition of TN Time With Lisa and Lori. I was only able to enter on Lisa's blog -- My Creative Endeavors with the sketch. Lori's challenge was to add flowers and honestly the spread was done before I realized that I forgot top add flowers. And the deadline is only an hour away so it is too late now.

Thanks for dropping in and checking out my blog.

Congratulations Jacob

It makes me sad that my grandson Jake was graduating from high school this year. The pandemic hit and the last couple of months and all the senior class activities were cancelled or moved to virtual celebrations. Sad. But there is no way that Grandma is going to not recognize Jake's accomplishments and celebrate and spoil him....after all he is the one who made me a grandma. I made a shaker card with green stars for his school colors and I stuffed this card with a big fat check. He probably will like that most of all. Here is a look at Jake in his cap and gown. Note: the picture was taken at the end of the 6 week stay at home order and the hair salons were not yet open. We were teasing Jacob that he was not going to be able to get that cap on his unruly head of curly hair....but he did I think he looks handsome and WAY too grown up.

I used this card sketch from Stick It Down for my card:

Paper Smooches Flowers Challenge

Paper Smooches was the very first stamps that I bought when I started cardmaking at least 10 years ago. They recently announced they will be shutting down as the owner, Kim is retiring. Having just retired a year ago myself, I wish her only the best but I will miss not having any new PS stamps to drool over. Now it is time to add a few stamps to my collection that I have been wanting for awhile as the closing sale begins today. You can see all the details on the discounts at

Meanwhile the challenges are going to continue and I made this card for the current

I am also entering this card in the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #442 - #443

That is it for right now....thank you for stopping in my blog and have a wonderful weekend.
