Happy Fall

We do not have much of a fall here in Florida but I love to scrap fall pictures so I was thrilled when my son in the Midwest texted me this picture of the granddaughters at the pumpkin patch recently.

I used this sketch from Rochelle Spears:

I am just slipping this entry in under the wire....I created it Saturday but totally forgot to blog about it until 10 minutes ago. I am entering it in the October Sketch challenge at Rochelle's blog. You can see all the details HERE

Thanks for stopping by my blog....I hope you have a wonderful week.

Peace, Love and Licks

This stamp set from My Favorite Things is one of my newest acquisitions and it is from their most recent release. I must admit, I bought it more for the adorable holiday pun-ny sentiments than the images. Although the sweet canine images are absolutely adorable. I will be using this set quite a bit these next several weeks as I create my 100 Christmas cards that I send out. So far I have about 10 done...lol!

I used this wonderful sketch from MFT:

I am entering it in Sketch Challenge #408

That's it for now. It is Monday -- my least favorite day of the week -- so I am going to watch a bit of TV (new American Pickers) and hit the sheets.

Dream On

I was able to do a bit of creating all weekend in addition to our list of things to do. I am really enjoying getting back to creating after not having the time or motivation for awhile. I have a stack of great pictures and awesome experiences to document from this summer so that is going to keep me busy for awhile. This beautiful picture of my gorgeous red haired toothless granddaughter was perfect to use some fall papers with from the Forever Fall collection by Simple Stories even though the picture was taken at the counter fair last July. I used this easy to work with sketch from
Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering it in their monthly sketch challenge....details can be found HERE.

That is all for now....thanks for stopping by my blog.

Halloween Card #4

I made this card for my 17 year old grandson Jacob. It is hard to make cards for older teenagers. But I saw this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap and it totally inspired this card.

I am entering it in the sketch challenge at Sketch-n-Scrap and in the
Simon Says Stamp Monday Halloween/Spooky Challenge.

Well I have been up since 5am so I think I am going to hit the sheets. Thanks for checking out my blog.

You Are Faboolous

I pulled out a neglected Paper Smooches stamp set for this card. Don't you just LOVE that little green monster? My husband said he looks like the mucous monster from the Mucinex commercial...lol. I just had to put a little witches hat on him. I created this card for my 13 year old grandson. I think the hardest group to make cards for are teenage boys....and I have 2 teenage grandsons. I often rack my brain trying to figure out a card design for them.

I used the fun October sketch from Paper Smooches for this card:

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Halloween/Spooky Challenge.

That is it for now....I have a very busy Saturday ahead of me....early voting, shopping, the gym, housework and date night with my wonderful husband tonight. I will be back later today or tomorrow to share my last Halloween card with you.

Let's Chill

It has been way too long since I played with my Paper Smooches Stamps. I just LOVE the snowmen from this set and I was very inspired by the October sketch.

This card is very sparkly in person....unfortunately all the sparkle did not photograph well. I love my clear Nuevo drops that I used on the background. After using them for the first time on this card, I am really glad that I bought the large bottle.

That is it for now....off to the couch for a little hockey and then bedtime. So glad it is Friday tomorrow.

Week 36

It seems like I am trying to catch up on a bunch of project that I have started, It was difficult this year with my father taking ill several times and his passing in August. It not only affected my time for crafting/memory keeping, it also affected my mojo. But slowly it is coming back and I am tackling the unfinished projects and will be caught up by the end of the year. For the above 6x8 page I used the fun sketch by Suzanna Lee for the Scraproom Blog. I love how sketches can be made to fit pages other that 12x12.

I am using the is page as my entry in the October Jump Start Challenge.

That is it for now....I worked on a couple of cards today so stay tuned tomorrow for a fun Halloween card.

I am way behind on holiday crafting this year but working hard to catch up. This card is for my oldest granddaughter who is 10 years old and a super animal lover. I used all sentiment and image stamps from My Favorite Things.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Animal Antics Challenge.

That's it for now....thanks for stopping by.

Witch Way is The Candy?

I spent a LONG time on this card but in the end, I was happy with the result and it is for my youngest grandchild....7 year Izzy so it was worth every moment. The images and sentiment are all from My Favorite Things and I used their Sketch 407:

I am also entering this card in the Inspired By Halloween Challenge this week

and

Simon Says Stamp Monday Starry Night Challenge

Thanks for dropping in....hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Week 35

I had fallen behind in documenting my 52 Favorites.....a favorite moment or days from each week. But I am working hard on catching up. This is week 35. My husband is just a food artist. This is what he created for us for breakfast one weekend -- avocado toast and poached eggs. It was almost too pretty to eat. I used Sketch #162 from Sketch-n-Scrap and scaled it down to fit my 6x8 album.

I was very happy with the final result. I am entering this page in their October sketch challenges.

That is it for now....I have a very busy Sunday and must get moving on my to-do list.
Thanks for stopping by.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 38 Awesome Autumn

I decided to make one more card for the Lawn Fawnatics Awesome Autumn Challenge and went for the clean and simple look on this cute Thanksgiving card.

I was inspired by all the acorns in this picture:

So I am entering the card also in Laurel Seabrook's fun Inspired By Fall Beauty Challenge. She runs the most fun and inspiring challenges and every week it is on my list to enter. I think I entered last week too, so yay me! Two weeks in a row. It is fun to make a twofer card (card I can enter in two challenges)

Thant is it for tonight....back to work tomorrow. I hope to craft this week if not too tired. I have not even started my Halloween cards.

I Lava You Izzy

I feel like I am finally getting my creative juices flowing again and the desire to create has returned so I am on a roll and enjoying the process. I made this card for my littlest grand who is no longer a baby....7 year old Izzy. I like to send Izzy and her sister goodie boxes with surprises for them. I made this card to go in the latest package. I used this fun sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That is about it for now....I am going to go watch the third period of the hockey game....AND my team is winning. YAY!!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 405

Good Morning! I am just popping in to share a card that I created using the MFT 405 Sketch. I love all the MFT products....they make it so easy to put a card together quickly and easily. The die cuts and stencil I used on  the above card are both from My Favorite Things. I used the sketch:

That is about it for now...have a wonderful Tuesday.

Give Thanks

Unfortunately for me, World Card Making Day happened on a very busy Saturday (we had appointments at the nail salon, eye glass place, meeting buyers and selling items on Marketplace, grocery shopping and all kinds of other busy-ness kept me out of my creative space until late yesterday afternoon. I got one card finished and this card almost finished before the hockey game came on (so happy it is hockey season). I finished it up this morning. Don't you love those little Lawn Fawn pilgrim mice??

I am entering this card in the Inspired By Ready For Fall challenge.

I was inspired by the overall theme of the photo. I absolutely LOVE fall. It is my favorite season. Too bad here in Florida we do not have much of an autumn season. Next year I am taking an October trip to the Midwest to get my fall fix.

Thanks for stopping by. My weekend is over...it is off to bed and up early for work tomorrow. But only 17 more months until retirement.
