A couple of cards

I made a couple of cards tonight for challenges.  I used this sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches for the first one:

And this is the card I created for a lady who was my mother's best friend for probably 30 years.  My mom has passed away but I want to remember my "Aunt" JoAnn's birthday this year.  I reconnected with her recently on Facebook.  She is one of the most loving, loyal people I know and was a wonderful friend to my mother.

I am also entering it into these challenges:

The next card I did tonight is one I am sending to my friend Marti who has just been accepted in a clinical trial for a liver cancer treatment in Bethesda, MD.  I want her to know I love her and am thinking of her.

I used one of my large stash of SRM stickers on it (love those), along with a corrugated heart from Jillibean Soup.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose. The buttons and twine are from my stash.

  1. Adorable cards, Sandi!

    Also, I wanted to let you know that the original winner of The Twinery's giveaway did not contact me and now you have been chosen as the winner!
    You have 48 hours to send me your mailing information. {Please don't make me pick a third winner!}

    When I receive your mailing information I will let you know I've received it. If you don't hear back from me, please send it again.

    Congrats!!!
