Two layouts to share

I only worked a half day yesterday and went shopping afterwards. (I love retail therapy....don't you?)  When I came home I really felt motivated to get crafty so I worked on two layouts.  The above layout is Miss Abby and her dad (my son  Matt) on the carousel at Navy Pier last month when we were up there.  I used Echo Park's Summer Days collection which I bought specifically for the pictures from Navy Pier.  It is my entry into Scrappin'-n-Chattin's 24 hour challenge where someone picks the sketch and collection I have to use to create a layout and I have 24 hours to do it.  My online friend Theresa chose for me and she done good!

The next layout is my entry in this week sketch challenge over at The Paper Variety.  I am on the design team there but it is my off week and I just LOVED this sketch by Aphra Bolyer:

Here is my take on it:

That is my grandson Cole doing an awesome cannonball.  My husband used the sports setting on his camera and caught a perfect mid-air shot....great photography, Dave!  There is still time to enter the challenge and the prize is the "To the Moon" collection by Fancy Pants.  Deadline is noon on Tuesday 10/4.  Hope to see lots more entries!
