Now and Forever

I have an online friend getting married this month.  I actually got a chance to meet her and her honey when they were donwn here on a trip a couple of years ago.  I am thinking this might be the first wedding card I have ever made ( I usually buy them) But I wanted to try my hand at one since I had this awesome sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Happy Birthday Rachel

I had not seen my adorable niece Rachel in several years but I was lucky enough to see her on our recent trip to the Midwest. She is having a birthday this week and I wanted to make her a cute card to celebrate as she turns 11.  She is also a budding scrapbooker so I have a package of goodies heading her way as well.

Wishing You Sunnier Days

I have a dear online friend who has a very sick family member and needs some encouragement.  I made this card for her and hope that I can brighten her day a bit.  I inked up my Simon Says Stamp Sunnier Days stamps for the first time and I used some adorable rain drop shaped bling from Little Yellow Bicycle along with this sketch from CAS{E} This Sketch:

Spring has Sprung!

I got some action wobbles from a friend recently and decided to use them on this card to make my flowers "wobble" and create a little play on words for the sentiment "Spring has Sprung".  I love my new cloud embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  I used my Claire's ABCs from Lawn Fawn for the custom sentiment.

Easter Altered Frame

I bought an inexpensive pine frame at Michael's recently and decided to alter it for Spring/Easter to showcase a great freebie Subway Art print from Eighteen 25.  If you would like to download one just click HERE.  I used Jillibean Soup's Southern Chicken Soup collection which is an awesome spring/Easter themed collection from last year.

This is Life -- Week #9

I am a bit behind in my Project Life pages but I keep good notes from each week and I am hoping to knock out a couple of weeks this weekend.  This is page 1 of Week #9....not such a great week as my dad left and went home to Colorado and Dave caught the flu and it went into pneumonia in his right lung.  He is all recovered now but was very sick for a couple of weeks. But I am documenting life and let's face it not every week is rosy.

 

I am entering this page in Scrap Your Story's Cork Challenge as the letters for my title are cork.  I just love the earthy, natural texture cork adds to my project.
