Rainbow Card

I am still learning to work with water colors and I practiced a bit on this flamingo. It turned out decently so I decided to use it on a birthday card for my 16 year old niece (How in the world are these kids so old so quickly? I swear Rach and my grandson Jake were just playing under the kitchen table together at a family function. And now they are both old enough to drive.)

I have all the colors of the rainbow -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and  violet on this card and think it is rather cute. I am entering it in the

Miss You

Let's Go On a Hunt

Here I am again slipping another layout in at the challenge deadline. I actually worked on this page last night but did not finish it until this evening. I had a very busy day with my dad today. Whew, glad this is a 3 day weekend for me....I have needed it to get all the things done on my to do list and I wanted a little time to get crafty also. I used the fun sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap:

Let's Be Mermaids

My grandchildren are the light of my life. I wish I could see them more than once or twice a year but we sure do have fun when we are all together. This is one of my favorite pictures of the girls and I. In fact, my son and I both have this picture framed on our desks.

You Will Always Be My Baby Boy

I as able to create this page tonight after a full day of work and a little dinner. I am just slipping it in under the wire for the March 1st Sketch challenge at Stuck? Sketches

I just love Laura Whitaker's sketches and this one really inspired me to scrap these pictures of my son and I earlier this month when Dave and I visited Chicago, If you look closely, it was snowing! This Florida girl rarely gets to see snow anymore.

We Are Adorable

My husband and I recently went on a very spontaneous road trip to Chicago to see family. For the long 16 hour drive home we both put on our red buffalo plaid flannels. We didn't even realize it until our first potty break when we shed our jackets. Great minds think alike I guess. Anyway, the occasion demanded a selfie and my camera snapped off three photos which turned out to be perfect for this awesome sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

Snapchattin' With Dave

After a break from scrapping I am back at documenting last summer's awesome vacation with the grandkids. This is my husband Dave and our youngest granddaughter Izzy playing with an app on Dave's phone on our first night in Disney World. I used this awesome sketch by Rochelle Spears:

The March Scrappy Friends Challenge on Rochelle's blog was to use the above sketch and graph paper. I am combining it with Grand Diva's This Day in History Challenge.

I went with

Fact #2 ~ March 7, 1876 ~ Alexander Graham Bell patents the Telephone. 

Create a layout and you must add SMS language as part of your title, an embellishment or use patterned paper printed with SMS language.

Example of SMS language: 2DAY, LOL, BFF

I added the LOL embellishment below the HAPPY for this challenge.

Finally, I am entering this page in the Golden Globe Stash Challenge from Scrap Our Stash.

I had to make a happy themed layout and include some emoji embellishments...I have my 3 emoji brads on this page.
