New Home

My niece and her husband just bought their first home up in North Carolina.  I remember the feeling of no longer paying rent and how special you first home really is.  I wanted to celebrate with them and so I put together a quick little card and will be sending it off in tomorrow's mail.

I am entering this card in the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

Have a wonderful evening....thanks for stopping by my blog.

Coffee is Always in Season

We took a few days to get away and had a wonderful long weekend (even if our hockey did lose both games) but I am back at making card for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop which runs through this Friday night. I really wanted to use this stamp that I won in the last bloghop in December.  It is from Stamplorations and I paired it up with some spring-like papers. I just love that sentiment....coffee is ALWAYS in season.  Living in Florida, I drink iced coffee all year.

There are loads of awesome projects, sponsors, inspiration and prizes to be had. I have a small little prize to offer myself.  In addition to the items shown I also picked up an extra roll of chalkboard coffee themed washi tape that I am adding to this prize. I saw it and grabbed a couple of rolls this weekend. Just comment on any of my coffee projects this week by 11:59om EDT to be eligible to win. I will pick a winner on Saturday April 1st.

So check out all the fun HERE and enjoy the eye candy.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

That's the Good Stuff

Welcome to day #2 of the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I decided to go a little retro with this card and I like how it turned out. And what is more spring like than cherry blossoms? My oldest was born during cherry blossom time. I love spring and was anxiously awaiting this bloghop.

I used this sketch by Kerry Urbatch for Sip and Share Sunday on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for my card.

Make sure you check the blog hop....there are lots of awesome projects, freebies and incredible prizes from loads fabulous sponsors. I am also offering a little blog candy myself.  Have fun and comment by 11:59 on 3/31/17. I will pick and post a winner on Saturday 4/1/17

Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I am a coffee lover and I make no apologies for that. I drink coffee for the protection of others...especially in the morning at work. It gives me energy, makes me smile and generally makes me a nicer and more tolerant person before 10am.

It is once again time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and in anticipation of this hop I made this card. I used bright spring-y colors and a fun message. I am sending this card off to my swap partner in my Coffee Loving Papercrafters group. It is so much fun to make/send a card and recive one also from all over.  A few months ago my card came from the Netherlands....how cool it that???

There are a ton of prizes from some amazing sponsors for this blog and I have a little prize myself. Just leave me a comment on any of my entries for the Coffee Lovers Spring Blog Hop and you will be entered to win this fun little prize. Don't you just LOVE those to go cup sticky notes? They are from Cocoa Daisy and I recently picked up an extra set to share with one of you. I will pick and post a winner on Saturday April 1st from all the comments on my blog through 11:59pm 3/31/17.

Thanks for stopping by tonight.  I will have another fun card to share tomorrow.

Today With You

I found a beautiful sketch on the Kaisercraft blog this month and knew I just had to work with it. Here is the sketch that I used for the above page:

I was so happy with this page that I framed it and it is hanging in my craft room. Everything is from Kaisercraft except the title.  I used die cuts from the Sandy Toes collection, paper from the Blue Bay collection and also from my 6 1/2" Coastal Escape paper pad. I am entering this layout in the Kaisercraft  March Sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by here tonight....I hope you had a good weekend and have a very productive week.

You've Got This Sistah--March Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop

Besides St. Patrick's Day, do you know what day it is today?  It is the 17th of the month and it is time for our monthly blog hop to remind all the sistahs out there to do your monthly self exam of your breasts and make your mammogram appointment if you are due. I just made mine yesterday and this one is a little anxiety producing because it is the first mammogram I will have after my breast cancer surgery last September. But if I can be brave and make my appointment so can you....we got this sistahs!  If you want to read my whole story as to how this blog hop literally saved my life last year just click HERE.

I am sending this card to a dear friend that I met at the hospital in my pre-surgical class.  She and I had surgery to remove our breast cancer on the same day by the same doctor and will  forever be lifelong friends. She is having her first post-op mammogram on Monday and I want to encourage her.

Here is my card:

Don't you just love those sweet little flowers? They were made with my Fri-Dies from CAS-ual Fridays and of course the stamp and die on the card are from the Calling All Sistahs collection. Do you know that Michelle, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays herself has overcome that nasty breast cancer monster and she donates a portion of all the profits on these stamps and dies? She is also offering prizes to 3 random commenters on blogs in this hop so make sure you check out all the inspiration and talent along the way. And there are some very touching stories also. The truth is that all of us have been touched by breast cancer in some way. This is one small thing that I can do to give back.

The next stop on the hop is the extremely talented Mary Moisan

Thanks for stopping by and remember comments must be made by 12am EDT on the 19th to be eligible for a $15 gift certificate to the CAS-ual Fridays store. Good luck!

I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for this card and am just slipping it in under the wire.

I Appreciate You

I always seem to be working right up to the last minute of deadlines.  I really wanted to participate in this week's MFT sketch challenge especially since I wasn't able to participate the last couple of weeks. But the deadline is tomorrow while I am at work so I knew it was tonight or miss another great challenge.  I forced my tired self into my craft room after dinner and once I got busy, I did not notice how tired I was. I created this thank you card for an online friend that sent me something I was looking for.  Here is the sketch I used:

I just loved the sketch and like how my card turned out.  I am glad I made some time this evening to be crafty. How about you?  Do you ever have to push yourself to get crafty?

Love, Love, Love YOU

My oldest granddaughter is turning 9 next week (where does the time fly??). I never like to ignore the girl not having the birthday so I made this quick little card for Izzy and bought a little gift for her. The whole package is on the way to the Midwest and should arrive this weekend. I hate missing birthdays but love sending fun gift packages to my grandchildren

I am entering this card in the Tuesday Throwdown Things With Wings Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....it is Friday tomorrow...one of my favorite days! Have a good one.
