Have a Sweet Birthday Cheri

 I have been blessed to have the sweetest, kindest and best sister-in-law ever. My husband's brother's wife Cheri is a true treasure. Unfortunately they live in North Carolina so we only get together a couple times a year but I wanted to make her a sweet birthday card to match her sweet personality. And what is sweeter than ice cream??

I used this perfect sketch by Lisa Hidy for Sketch-n-Scrap and am entering it in their

sketch challenge.

I am also entering this card in the current Stenciling Challenge at Tuesday Throwdown. I used a fun brick wall stencil from My Favorite Things for the background.

That is about is for right now. I have a craving tonight for tacos and I am waiting patiently for my husband to come home so we can go get some tacos....yum!!

I love making masculine cards. This one is for my sister's husband. It is his birthday this week. In fact I am in the middle of birthday season. Our family has two times of the years that there seems to be a cluster of birthdays. I always say I am going to build my stash to be ready for the onslaught of birthdays but I rarely do and often find myself frantically making cards at the last moment. One of my favorite collections of Doodle bug is the coffee and tea themed collection called Cream and Sugar. It may be a couple of years old but I love it. I used the above sketch and that collection for this card:

Get Well Soon Aaron

My brother-in-law in North Carolina recently had spinal surgery and is recovering so I wanted to make and send him a little card to let him know we are sending our best and thinking about him. My favorite Get Well stamp set is this little one from Lawn Fawn. I used Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and that awesome plaid paper. I also used this perfect sketch from Lawn Fawnatics:
