Gone Fishin'

Just to prove that my memory keeping is not just all about the grandkids, I decided to work on a page for my husband's scrapbook documenting the fishing trip we took last year with his dad. His dad caught a TON of fish and was so proud and happy. I do not often have 4 pictures from an event to scrap but since I did this time I used this fun sketch #160 from SketchnScrap:

Well it is a busy day today. I think I will fix myself another iced coffee and tackle my To Do list.

Mistletoe and Holly CFC 208

I am WAY behind on making Christmas cards this year. But I decided that I am not going to stress about it. I will make as many as I can between now and December and will order some photo cards for the rest. It has been a difficult year and unfortunately my motivation to craft just wasn't present for quite awhile. I am starting to feel the desire to create again and that is a good thing.

I must admit this card started out to be entered in the Casual Friday CFC 207 challenge to use mint. I watercolored the background and then did not get the rest of the card finished before the deadline. But I was not going to let a good background go to waste so I was able to re-purpose it for the current CFC 208 Challenge....Use Those Sequins

I also popped up the whole watercolor panel with foam tape so I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Pop It Up Challenge

That is it for now....that 4:30am alarm comes early so I am going to hit the sheets. Thank you for checking out my blog.

The Birthday CAS Project

My Favorite Things has a very cool challenge going this year.....every month they challenge you to make a birthday card. This month the challenge is Clean and Simple. I usually struggle putting together a clean and simple card but this card came together very quickly for me. I used my favorite new set of Stitched Flower dies and some Gingham print paper. I popped one of the flowers up with some foam tape to add a little dimension and interest.

I am entering this card in the MFT Birthday Project -- Clean and Simple

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Pawfect Birthday

Although we will not be feeling any fall-like weather here in Florida for several weeks yet, I am getting into a fall frame of mind. I made myself my first pumpkin spice iced coffee today and it was delicious. I made this card last night and really enjoyed the process. I love crafting with the colors of fall. I inked up two new stamp sets from My Favorite Things for this card & used MFT sketch #401:

I am also entering this card in Laurel Seabrook's Inspired By Fall Picnic Challenge:

I was inspired by the plaid so I paper pierced the cute girl's sweater with some warm plaid. It just looks like she is ready for a fall picnic to me. I also incorporated many of the colors into my card.

Finally I am entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Stamp It On Challenge.

Well, that is it for now. I am going to go watch football as it is the first game of the season and my Bears are playing our arch enemies...the Packers. These rivalry games are always good.

Snappy Birthday Adam

My baby boy is having a birthday next week. I cannot believe that my youngest is turning 37. Seems like I was just 37 myself. Time moves on relentlessly. I have learned in the last two years to make everyday count.
I used one of my favorite stamp sets from Newton's Nook to create this card. I also used their fun sketch:

I am entering this card in the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #80
and
Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge Stamp It On

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope the rest of your weekend is just what you need it to be. I am looking forward to a restful day tomorrow.

My Favorite Things Sketch #400

What a busy holiday weekend this turned out to be! I had plans for a lot more crafting than actually got done but I did make this card. I actually thought up how I was going to use the sketch from My Favorite Things last night in bed before falling asleep. Have you ever done that? The sketch had me stumped until I decided to watercolor on it for those 5 elements at the top of the sketch.

I used my brand new Hello die from MFT also. I am entering this clean and simple card in the
and in Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge

Thanks for stopping by.
