Turning 12

May granddaughter Abby turned 12 recently while we were in Hawaii. I got some pictures of her celebration and was able to put together this page today to document the day. I used a Page Maps sketch:

Teenage Boys

I have been creating a few more pages for my own personal scrapbook recently instead of just doing layouts to be given away, This page is for my scrapbook and it features a rare photo of my teenage grandsons. If you have any teenage boys in the family, you know it is virtually impossible to get them to agree to getting their photos taken. I snuck this one while they weren't looking last September when I was in town. I found those awesome wood veneers of their names in my stash. I had ordered those custom made years ago and forgot about them.

I used this sketch from Scrap Our Stash:
I also used plaid paper and wood as required by the challenge.

I am entering this page in 2 challenges:
and
That is about it for right now....stay home, stay safe.

Aloha Again

I am still trying to hang onto the Aloha spirit from our recent trip to Hawaii even though we have been home for 11 days. I brought home some goodies for friends and families and made some cards to go along with them. I used this card sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap for this card:
I hope you are all well and staying healthy and occupied during this uncertain time. Thank you for checking in on my blog.

Mahalo

We recently returned from a trip to Hawaii. While we were gone our 8 month old French Bulldog puppy was card from by an excellent boarding facility. I wanted to thank them for the care and love they showed our girl so I made this card. I used this fun sketch from Stick It Down:

I hope you are all staying well and staying home. My husband has to go to work everyday as he is a truck driver but other that that we are staying home. These are some crazy times but we all have to help #flattenthecurve. Crafting helps me with my anxiety during all this.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Waving Hello

I really enjoyed doing some ink blending on this card. I wanted it to look like the boat is sailing off into the sunset....I think achieved that, don't you? If you want to check out their stamps and dies here is the link -- http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/

Back To School

I am finally caught up on school pictures for my granddaughters. I have had their class photos and first day of school photos from the last 2 years sitting on my desk with my school stash for months. I finally got the last page knocked out today.

I am entering this page in the Lasting Memories Challenge #487 Mix and Match Patterned Papers. The challenge was to use at least 4 different patterned papers and I used 7!! I am happy with the way this page turned out. I especially like the large area that I was able to hand write my journaling. I think it is important that I leave behind a sample of my handwriting. My mother had pretty handwriting and unfortunately I have no samples of it left anymore and she passed away nearly 20 years ago.

I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Tag It Challenge

That is it for a Monday. I will be back tomorrow with a card to share.

Happy Easter Shaker Card

I had fun with this challenge. I decided to use glitter in a shaker card. I have not used glitter in so long, I had a tough time finding it in my highly organized (lol!!) craft room.
While I was at it, I decided to make jar shaped card. I saw Kelly from Lawn Fawn make a card like this and I decided that it was just too cute to not try to replicate. I think it turned out cute.

I am entering this card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #71 Bring It Back (use an embellishment that you have not used in a long time....I used glitter)
and the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge Week #428 - #429

Well that is it for now. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.
