Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card for a card drive to shower a 100 year old veteran with Valentine's Day cards. This sketch #162 from Sketch-n-Scrap was perfect for it.
I am also entering it in Challenge #131 from Your Next Stamp Share the Love

The last challenge I am entering this card in is the

It is finally Friday....Yay! And Super Bowl weekend. Do you have any plans? We don't but we will probably make some good eats and watch the game.

To My Stud Puffin

Every year I try to make a special card for my hubby's birthday and Valentine's Day. I spend a little more time on it, usually buy a new stamp for the card and try to get extra creative. This year I made the above card. I LOVE the image and sentiment and when you open it up------
There is a spinning heart inside the card. The inside sentiment is just computer generated and it says "You Make My Heart Spin" I will write some mushy romantic stuff inside and he will save it forever in a keepsake box where he keeps all the cards I have made him over the last 12 years of cardmaking. He is sentimental like that and I love him to death.

I used Lawn Fawn papers and the stamped image of those darling puffins and fun sentiment are from one of my favorite stamp companies....Lawn Fawn. I am entering this in the

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge All Loved Up
and
Well, that is it for now....happy hump day and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

Smiles From Ear to Ear

This was the last page I had to do to complete the Disney album for my son Matt and his girls documenting their 2017 trip. It only took me 2.5 years to complete it....lol.

I used this awesome sketch from Stick It Down:
I am going to ship this album out with their Valentine goodies to surprise them. I think they will really enjoy reliving their trip. That is why I do what I do and luckily my family seems to realley enjoy and appreciate my efforts.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dolphin Encounter

I have been wanting to do this layout for my granddaughter Abby's scrapbook for some time. It was such a special memory with her and it completed an album so I am really glad I got to it a couple of days ago. I used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That is it for now....it is Monday and I did a ton of laundry so I am pretty well exhausted. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Disney After Dark

After completing this page, I only have one more page to finish my son and granddaughters' Disney 2017 album. It only took me 2 and a half years to complete....lol. I am bound and determined this year to finish a bunch of half started projects. This is the sketch that I used:

It is from Rochelle Spears for her January Scrappy Friends Challenge. I am also entering this in the Scrappy Friends Challenge at the Scrap With Stacy blog. Her challenge this month was this Tic Tac Toe Challenge:
I went right across the top row and used white card stock to mat my photos, silver glitter enamel dots for the centers of many of the fireworks bursts and loads of stickers.

I think I will go in my scrap room and see if I can knock out the last layout for this album in the hours that I have before dinner. Thanks for stopping by.....hope your weekend was as pleasant as mine.

Family Weekend

I love documenting my life with my amazing husband in my Traveler's Notebook. The smaller canvas is so much fun to work with and the pages come together quickly. I was inspired by the
Scrap Our Stash What's My Challenge. It was a BINGO board this month and I went diagonally -- stitching, tag, brad (the blue/white pinwheel looking thing) and banner.

That is about it for now....but it is Sunday and I am busy crafting so I will be back soon with more to share. Thanks for checking out my blog.

Bear Hugs

Your Next Stamp is having a fun challenge that I wanted to get in on....Shades of Blue Challenge. So I colored my koala blue and gave him a monochromatic background. I love doing something every once in awhile that is quirky and unexpected.

That is it for now....I am off to a card class held at my local library.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Have a Pawfect Birthday

I have a friend up in the midwest who loves cats. I thought this little girl with the kitty reminded me of her and would make a cute birthday card for her. The stamps are from My Favorite Things. I used their weekly sketch:

Have a Narly Valentine's Day

I really enjoy making Valentine cards....probably because I love telling my family that I love them. I saw this challenge to use something new and something old on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog and I just had to play along. This is the second card that I created for this challenge. I recently bought the Diagonal Gift Card Pocket and the Winter Narwhal and I used them for this card for my youngest son and his girlfriend.
I found that not only is the pocket perfect to tuck a gift card or some cash into, it is also the perfect place to add a little sentiment card for an easy interactive card like this:
Nearly everything else on this card is from my older Lawn Fawn stash....the partial sentiment that says Valentine's Day is from the How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-on stamp set, the die cut hearts are from the How You Bean? Shaker add-on die set. For the water the narwhal is swimming in I used the Lawn Cuts Stitched Hillside Borders. Finally the paper is from my favorite Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad that I have had FOREVER....Let's Polka.

Well there you have it.....two Valentines completed about 18 more to go....lol
Thanks for dropping in and checking out my blog.

Lawn Fawnatics Old and New Challenge

I recently revisited one of my first loves when I first got started stamping....Lawn Fawn Stamps. Some of their new releases have been so adorable that I could not resist buying a few items....some of which I used on a couple of Valentine cards that I made last night and this morning. Here is the first one that I want to share for the Lawn Fawnatics Old and New Challenge.

I love my new Diagonal Gift Card Pocket that I recently bought. It is perfect not only to add a gift card but also a little hidden sentiment like I did here:
Nearly everything else on this card is from my older Lawn Fawn stash....the hippo and stamped hearts are from the Year Four stamp set, the sentiments Happy Heart Day and Happy Valentine's Day are from the How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-on stamp set, the die cut hearts are from the How You Bean? Shaker add-on die set. For the lawn the hippo is grazing on I used the Lawn Cuts Stitched Hillside Borders. Finally the paper is from my favorite Lawn Fawn 6x6 pad....Let's Polka.

I think I pretty well hit the Old and New on this challenge. Thank you for stopping in to check out my blog. Hope you are having a restful and wonderful weekend.

Coffee

Yes, I will admit it, I am a coffee addict. Being retired, I do not need my coffee first thing in the morning since my mornings are much slower and more relaxed which just gives me more time to sit and enjoy a cup (or two or three...lol). My love for coffee has rolled over into my card making hobby. I am in a coffee loving paper crafters group. We have a monthly card swap where we send cards all over the world and then we receive a card as well. The above card is my January swap card that I sent to Texas. I used this perfect sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That's about it for now. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a wonderful weekend.

Snappy Birthday Noah

Our nephew Noah is turning 12 years old this month. He was born prematurely but you would never know it now. He is very tall and a healthy fun kid.

For his card, I used one of my favorite stamp sets from Newton's Nook and their sketch #114.
