You're On The Nice List

One more card to share quickly before I hit the sheets. It is back to work tomorrow after 5 days off. The alarm goes off at 4:30am on work days so it is already past my bedtime but I wanted to get this card blogged since the deadline on the sketch challenge is coming up. I love this sketch from

I used one of new favorite stamps....Jingle All the Way from My Favorite Things and couldn't help but add a bit of bling to Santa. I used one of the double stitched circle Die-Namics also so I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Christmas to Die For Challenge also.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....catch you again tomorrow hopefully.

Nothing's Better

The day after we went to Disney Movie Studios this past June, my son took the boys to Universal Studios. My husband and I stayed back at the Cabana bay Resort and relaxed....back-to-back theme parks are not high on my list of things to do. But Adam and the boys are young and really enjoyed themselves. For this layout I used this awesome sketch from Brenda Ragsdale at

I am also entering this page in the Scrappy Friends/This and That Challenge at Rochelle Spears
blog. I used a wood veneer for part of my title to qualify for the challenge.

That is all for right now.  We are about to take off to go check out the new outlet mall that just opened up in the Daytona beach area. Thanks for your sweet comments.

It Moose Be Your Birthday

My father-in-law recently turned 76 and I needed to make him a card. I reached for one of my favorite stamps sets. This one is from Sugar Pea Designs and they have a sketch this month that is perfect to use with it:

Thanks for stopping by tonight....I hope your holiday weekend was filled with good food and good memories.

You're A Deer Tag to Card

I recently created this tag with this cute reindeer on it and found an awesome sketch and some perfect background paper.  I put everything together for another Christmas card. The image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things and the sketch is from Sketch-n-Scrap:

Well it is nearly the end of a long holiday weekend. Luckily I am off for one more day because I still have some decorating, shopping and papercrafting left to do.

Panda Card

My grandson loves pandas so when I found this adorable panda in my stash I just know I was going to have to use it on his Christmas card. I used this perfect card sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

I still have plenty of Christmas cards to create so I will keep sharing them here......thanks for checking in to see what I have been up to.

#Smiles From Ear-to-Ear

I currently have a bunch of projects that I am working on....Christmas cards, Christmas gift tags and I am trying to finish up a scrapbook of my son and grandsons' trip out here to Florida this past June. This is a page documenting our trip to Disney Studios....what a fun (and exhausting) day that was!

I used this awesome sketch from Scrap Your Stash:

Part of the challenge in addition to using the sketch is to use something from each of the three lists at the bottom. From List 1, I used the color grey (the polka dot patterned paper). From List 2, I used a hashtag (in my title). From List 3, I used the color indigo.

I am also entering this layout in the Clique Kits December Anything Goes Challenge.

Well that is about it for tonight....but I have plenty more to share later.

Santa Has Some Favorites Tag #9

I have been making quite a few tags this holiday season and this one is my favorite so far. I love the image of that little girl and that sentiment is absolutely adorable....both are from My Favorite Things. I think you can see why they are truly my favorite stamp company.

I am still continuing to be inspired by Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. My tag was inspired by this tag by Jane Taylor on Day #8:

I love the double tag of Jane's so I used a red and a white tag layered on top of each other.

I am also entering this tag in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Christmas to Die For. I used a Technique Tuesday die to cut my tags and a circle die for the image of my little girl.

Thanks for stopping by on this Black Friday....I am off to a doctor appointment and then decorating all day. I did a little shopping online. Are you shopping until you drop today?

Pilgrim Mice

I love these sweet little pilgrim mice from Lawn Fawn and I only get to use them once a year on a Thanksgiving card or two. This is the card that I made with them this year:

Inside this card is the sentiment....Thankful for You. I am entering it in the

That is it for tonight....I am so glad Monday is over and I am 33% through my work week.

Joy To The World -- Tag #8

On Day #17 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, I was inspired by Angela Rivera's horizontal tag. I tend to make all my tags vertical so I challenged myself to use items from my stash and make a horizontal tag. Here is the tag that inspired me:

Here is the tag I made:

That chipboard frame is from the collection Sleigh Bells Ring by My Minds Eye, the stamped image by Neat & Tangled and the crinkled ribbon has been in my stash forever. It always feels good to use up things that I have had for awhile.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....I will be back shortly to share another tag that I made over the weekend.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

Here is another Christmas card made with these adorable Santas from My Favorite Things. I really LOVE this stamp set. I used the sketch #307 from My Favorite Things and I am entering it in their sketch challenge. Here is the sketch:

Well, this weekend is nearly over but luckily we have a shortened work week coming up thanks to Thanksgiving here in the US. It will not be long before it will be Christmas.....eeeeek! I am no where near ready for Christmas yet!! Are you??

Warm Winter Wishes

I am very busy making my Christmas card list and checking it twice. I have quite a few more cards to make it seems so I am using this quiet weekend to add to my supply of handmade holiday cards.  I used one of my favorite stamp sets from Neat and Tangled for this card.
I am entering it in the Little Tangles Challenge 74 CAS (Clean and Simple). I left lots of white space (which just so happened to be black on this card) This is also a very postage friendly design if you are like me and mail most of your cards.

Well I am going to get back to work on some more projects and watch football.. I will be back later to share some more.

Stampingbella Tiny Townie Casey

I love this stamp set....the image and the sentiment are both awesome. Plus the really awesome thing about this stamp and die set is that I won them from Stampingbella Stamps. I am really just a beginner when it comes to Copic markers and this image provided quite the challenge for me. It took well over an hour for me to color the image and I am not totally happy with the results. I need to practice, practice , practice. But I was happy enough with my efforts to use the finished product on a Thanksgiving card for my in-laws.

I used the November 25th Challenge sketch at the Stampingbella blog:

In addition to the sketch challenge I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Thanksgiving Challenge

Thanks for popping in tonight and checking out how I have been keeping busy. Join me tomorrow for some more craftiness.

You're A Deer -- Christmas Tag #7

After an extremely rough work week, my hubby and I decided to have a PJs and coffee day. We have not left the house all day and it has been wonderful. He is enjoying gaming in his man cave and I am happily crafting in my scraproom. We are each in our happy place. In an hour or so we will watch a hockey game together and if our Blackhawks win it will be the perfect end to the day.

I am working on loads of holiday crafting....finishing up my Thanksgiving cards and still loving the 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I was inspired by this reindeer tag that Caryn Davies made on Day #9:

Here is my tag:

I am also entering this tag in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Christmas Critters Challenge

Thanks for dropping in....I hope your weekend is as relaxing as mine has been so far.

Calling All Sistahs November Blog Hop

It is that time again my sisters....time for your monthly reminder to check your breasts and/or make your appointment for your mammogram.  I am again participating in the monthly Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays.  There are some awesome cards along the blog and some inspirational stories too. I made a card to remind a good friend of mine to go for her long-overdue mammogram. She is the care taker of her 90+ year old mother and her 87 year old aunt.  Since becoming their sole caregivers she has neglected her own health a bit and I am hoping my card will be the little nudge she needs to make her appointment. Here is my card:

I used this awesome sketch from Mojo Monday:

This blog hop has a special place in my heart because on August 17th of this year I saw the reminder to make my mammogram appointment and remembered that I was 2 months past due for my screening. I made the appointment that day and a week later a very small mass was discovered in my right breast. It was stage one breast cancer and on September 30, I had a lumpectomy and intraoperative radiation. 6 weeks later, I am done with my cancer treatment and I am cancer free. I owe a great deal to Michele (the owner of CAS-ual Fridays) and many of the ladies in this blog hop as they reached out to me with love and encouragement. Early detection really does work!

There are awesome prizes and inspiration to be found along the way and Michele even donates 50% of the profits from the Calling All Sistahs Collection to nationalbreastcancer.org  You have until Nov. 19 to comment to win. So hop along and spread the word and we would love to have you join our blog hop next month!  Your next stop on the blog hop is the fabulous Shona Chambers....a friend from down under.
Thank you for stopping by.

I have really become a fan of Julee Tilman's card sketches....they always inspire me and this one is no exception. I used the above sketch for this Thanksgiving card:

Don't you just adore that little coffee drinkin' squirrel that I found in one of my recent Cocoa Daisy kits??? I am entering this card in the Viva La Verve November sketch challenge.

Well I have a card to make tonight for a blog hop that I am in tomorrow....be sure to come back and check out my blog tomorrow for a fun hop that could save your life! (And there are prizes too!)

25 Days of Christmas Tags #4 -- Warm Thoughts

I am so enjoying the 25 Days of Christmas Tags on Tracey McNeeley's blog. When I saw her tag that she made yesterday for the Day 13 post, I was greatly inspired to create this tag:

Here is the tag of Tracey's that inspired me:

I even used cork to die cut the cozy for my coffee mug just like Tracey did. What a genius idea!

Well it is Monday and that is my least favorite day so I am going to go to bed and end the day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn Blessings

What an awesome sketch this is! I saw it and immediately wanted to create a Thanksgiving card with it.  Unfortunately I had such a busy, stressful week that I did not get a chance to work on it until this afternoon and now I am getting my card slipped in right under the wire. In addition to the Mojo Monday sketch, the image and sentiment are digital images that Julee Tillman offered free last year. I love them....I colored in the sweet coffee cup with my Copic markers. Here is the card I created:

I am entering this card in the Mojo Monday Sketch #473 Contest

Hope your weekend was awesome....mine was busy and creative but now it is back to work. :(

Corn Mazing

I love these Instagram pictures that my son posted of him and our grandson son Cole trying to navigate a corn maze in their hometown in Indiana recently. I love the colors of fall to scrap with so this page came together very quickly. I used this sketch from Paper Issues:

I am entering this page in the November Clique Kits Anything Goes Challenge.

Well that is it for now.....the weather is beautiful here in Florida and we are going to get out and enjoy it. what are your weekend plans?

Merry Christmas

I really need to step up the pace and crank out some Christmas cards....this was a quick and easy one. I used one of my favorite dies from Simon Says Stamp.....Holiday Frames. It makes for a super fun and quick card especially when I added that cork ornament from Freckled Fawn.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday Challenge to use a Simon Says Stamp branded item.

That's about it for tonight. I am going to retire to the couch and watch the rest of the hockey game and hopefully not fall asleep!

Now and Forever

My brother in law and sister in law are celebrating their anniversary next week so I wanted to make them a cool card to pop into the mail for them. I used this fun sketch from Sugar Pea Designs:
