Giveaway Winner

Wow! Thank you for all the sweet comments on my coffee cards last week. Random.org chose the winner of this sweet little bag tag all the way from Hawaii. The winner is:

Holly AKA KopyKat

Please send me an email with your snail mail information so I can get this out to you right away. My email is ampressley7@gmail.com

Thanks and congratulations!

Congrats Graduate

Both of my grandson's had milestones this year...Jacob graduated from Valparaiso High School and Cole graduated from 8th grade to start at VHS next year. This card is for 14 year old Cole. I feel so bad that all the kids that celebrated graduations this year from kindergarten and pre-school to elementary, high school and college were not given the celebrations they had looked forward to and worked so hard for. I am putting a little extra cash in my grandson's cards this year because cash always helps....lol.

Happy 52

This is my last project as a guest design team member at Lasting Memories. The challenge was to use geometric or icon paper, 3 or more photos and circles. In April we celebrated Dave's quarantine birthday with a nice ride in our hot rod(which lives in the garage most of the time) and take out lunch down by the beach. It is a birthday we will both remember.

Thanks for checking in with me....I will be back in a bit to share a cute card I made.

Life Happens

I look forward to the Coffee Lovers Bloghop twice a year. There are so many awesome, inspiring projects....I can sit for hours just looking at all the eye candy. But I also spend time creating my own cards/projects for the hop because, well....prizes. And there are a lot of awesome prizes to be had. This is actually my 4th card for the bloghop....for the other 3 check out my Instagram account
(@sandipressley)

I used the sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap for this card. They are having their 8th birthday bash with loads of sketches....a new one everyday. I just LOVE their card sketches. You cannot see it too clearly in the photo but I added Glossy Accents to the ice cubes for texture and a little realism....take my word for it, it looks great in real life.

I am offering a little giveaway to someone who comments on my coffee themes projects this week. I picked up this fun bag tag in Hawaii when I was there earlier this year before the pandemic brought everything to a screeching halt.

I will post the winner on Sunday May 31 and I will be adding some other fun items to the winner's package.

That is it for now.....thanks for stopping in and checking out my blog. Stay healthy and safe.

Hey.....Thanks

You cannot beat Paper Smooches for the cuteness factor. I just love this image.....this birdie looks like my Quaker parrot Max who passed away nearly 2 years ago now. I miss that little rascal. To see all the cute stamps and dies from this awesome company click HERE

I used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering this card in the current Paper Smooches Thank You Challenge

Bears Family Day

Here is my third page that I created as a Guest Design Team Member for Lasting Memories. The challenge all month has bee Three Things. The three things that I had to use on this week's challenge was gingham/checked or plaid paper, hearts and one or more tags. I loved making this monochromatic page featuring my son and beautiful granddaughters using REALLY old papers from my stash that coordinated perfectly. Don't you love that peach ombre background paper? It is a nearly vintage sheet from Studio Calico.

I used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

That is it for right now....I am hoping to get into my room and be creative today but I have spent WAY too much time online this morning. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hi.....Miss You

I realized that the deadline for this challenge was midnight tonight so I got in my craft room this afternoon and after finishing a layout that I will share tomorrow I worked on this card. I am so happy with how bright and cheery it turned out. I seem to be making and sending a great number of missing you cards lately.....this social distancing is hard on me. I am a very sociable person but I am terrified of this virus so I stay home as much as possible. I will be glad when there is a safe and reliable vaccine available.

I made this card for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge

Paper smooches has the most adorable stamps and dies.....you can check them all out at

I am also entering this card in the

I am also entering this in the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Week #438 - #439 Challenge

That's it for now. I will be back tomorrow to share a scrapbook page that I am putting the finishing touches on today. Stay safe and healthy.

Downtown Valpo

I am really enjoying creating scrapbook pages for my own personal scrapbook lately. Most of my pages go into albums that I give away to my sons and grandchildren. It's nice to make some pages that I get to keep. This is one of them.

I created this page for the Lasting Memories 3 Things Challenge. I am one of the Guest Design Team members there this month which is really fun. For this week's 3 Things Challenge I had to use striped paper, stars and washi tape.

That's it for now....it is Monday which is laundry day around here. That should keep me busy today.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

I Want You To Be As Happy......

These days with extra time home on my hands, I have found myself making and sending a lot of cards. In fact for awhile I was sending more than I was making so lately I have been busy trying to build my stash back up but it seems as soon as a make a card I am sending it out to cheer someone up.

I am entering this fun card in two challenges:

Week 11 Maui

Our trip to Hawaii in early March was awesome despite being somewhat overshadowed by the Covid-19 pandemic which was really ramping up back here on the mainland while we were there. But the beauty of the islands, the positivity of the people and the delicious food will long remain in our memory. I plan on documenting the whole trip in a separate Traveler's Notebook but our time in Maui definitely belongs in my 2020 52 Favorites TN.  I used this awesome TN sketch from Lisa Hidy and am entering it at her sketch challenge on her blog My Creative Endeavors

I am also entering this spread in Lori's above challenge. I am using my current favorite colors to create with coral and aqua and my favorite embellishments are stickers....especially those funky font Bella Blvd alpha stickers. You can see all the details on Lori's blog My Happy Life.

That is about it for now. I will be back soon to share another fun project.
