Walking 2 School

I love the sketch on the Basic Grey blog this week and was determined to use it.So I coupled it with their collection Oxford and a cute picture of my grandson and his friends walking to school a couple of years ago.  I spattered and masked with my new bottle of Mister Huey's Mist.  All the papers and embellishments are from Basic Grey including the cute alpha letters.  Here is the sketch I used:

I stayed pretty true to the sketch except I used just one photo instead of 2.
Thanks for checking out my blog.

Riding High With Cole

My grandson Cole loves to ride on ferris wheels.  Here are two pictures taken a year apart with him riding on the same ferris wheek at the same carnival. He is growing up before my very eyes.

I used the August layout sketch from Authentique:

Everything on the layout with the exception of the letters is from the Celebrate collection from Authentique....the paper, and every single sticker.  Their collection packs are just jam packed with awesome stuff and makes putting together a page quick and easy.

I am also entering this page in Go Fish's Summer Theme Challenge.

I also used Echo Park's This and That Beautiful collection and some pretty Martha Stewart brads.

Presents!

We had a fabulous birthday celebration while we were in the Chicago area last week. The party mostly celebrated my granddaughter Izzy's first birthday but since Amy my DIL and I both have August birthdays we celebrated those also.  Here is the first of many layouts that I will be creating to remember the day.  I bought the brand new Birthday Girl collection from Bella Blvd just for this occasion and I love how the papers match Izzy's dress....I didn't plan it that way {really}....LOL

I used the awesome August sketch from Artful Delight:

I am also entering it in Frosted Delight's Fabulous Friday challenge to use ribbon or twin. Do you see the twine bow on the letter T in the title???

Happy Always

My niece Frances married her best friend Dan last year and sadly we were not able to attend the ceremony.  To commemorate their upcoming first anniversary I made this layout and framed it for them.  Last week while we were in the Chicago area I got to meet Dan and see the two of them at my granddaughter's first birthday party (Lots of pages coming on that event!!) I was happy with the way the page turned out and they seemed to like it as well.

I used this sketch #220 from Creative Scrappers:

I am also entering it into the "Sparkle and Shine" challenge at Unique Crafters.
The title "Happy Always" is glittery
