Happy Valentine's Day Dad

I tried using my colored pencils tonight with a little gamsol. I still have a lot to learn with this technique but it was fun and the results passable so I made a card for my Dad for Valentine's Day. I used this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am also entering this card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #21. Here is the Inspiration Board:

I was inspired by the color red, the hearts and the Valentine theme of the board.

Thanks for stopping in tonight.

Coffee Makes Everything Better

I came across this collection of brightly colored coffee cups in my stash and I just thought to myself....how cute would these look stacked up on a bright happy card? I am so glad that this card turned out just the way I pictured it in my head....my projects do not always do that...you know what I mean? I used this sweet sketch from Kerry Urbatch for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers
Sunday Sip and Share blog feature:

I am entering this card in the Coffee Lovers Cardmakers Sketch Challenge
and
also Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Add a Sentiment Challenge.
Finally, I am also entering this card in the Tuesday Throwdown Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mwah!

My granddaughter loves purple and looks like the little girl in the Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things so when I saw this brand new stamp in the Pure Innocence line I just had to order it. I used this fun MFT sketch for this fun shaker card that will be my granddaughters Valentine's Day card this year.
I am entering this card in the Sketch Challenge #368 at My Favorite Things and the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday Use Something New Challenge.

First Time Beach Bum

My granddaughter Izzy had never seen the ocean or been to the beach until last summer when she was 5 years old. These pictures capture her very first time she felt sand between her toes ar smelled and tasted the salt air. I think she loves the sea now as much as her grandmother! I used this lovely sketch from The Scraproom for my page and am entering it in their

Happy Human Happy Cat

My son recently adopted a cat or I should say the cat adopted him. He has posted some pictures on Facebook and Instagram and I recently won the Simple Stories Feline mini-collection so it was a
no-brainer to put this page together for Adam's scrapbook.

I used the January sketch from Rochelle Spears Paper/Sketch challenge:

I am also playing along with the Scrappy Friends Challenge by entering this page In
Brenda's January "This Month In History" Challenge. I used option #4 which was to create a layout with the word HAPPY in the title and to use Thickers for all or part of the title.

That is it for tonight...I hope your weekend was as fun and productive as ours was.

Christmas Morning Joy

My youngest granddaughter has the quirkiest personality and is always making all of us laugh. I just love the expression on her face in this photo taken on Christmas morning after opening all her gifts. I found the perfect sketch to use to create a page for her scrapbook. It is the January 1st sketch from

Strong Coffee, Sweet Friendships

A dear friend of mine is having another this month (at our age we do not exactly look forward to turning another year older). When I received this stamp as a prize for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop from Art Impressions, I knew it would be perfect for a card for Debbie. We have been friends for well over 30 years and although I moved 1000+ miles away nearly 15 years ago, we still keep in touch.

There is a designer that I follow for inspiration on the internet -- Laurel Seabrook -- and she brought back her inspiration challenges this year. I was inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by the blue/cream/brown color palette and the snow flakes. I am entering this in her

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Something New Challenge since this was the first time I inked up both the image and sentiment from this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by on this cold winter day....it is even cold here in Florida. But I am loving our touch of cold weather....it will be in the 70's again next week.

When Santa Came to Visit

My granddaughters had an awesome surprise a couple of weeks ago when the local fire department pulled up with lights flashing to their home and Santa got out with gifts and goodies for them. My son took pictures and of course I had to document When Santa Came To Visit. Let's just say my 9 year old granddaughter had her faith in Santa renewed. I used this perfect sketch from

Happy Birthday Noah

Our nephew's 10th birthday is coming up and I sat down this evening and had some fun making him this card. I was enjoying the stamping so much I continued the stamping inside the card and on the envelope. I used one of my newer stamp sets from Your Next Stamp...in fact neither the cute doggie image or the sentiment had ever been inked up before. This is the sketch I used from

I am also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp's Monday Something New Challenge

Thanks for stopping by....I have a scrapbook page to share tomorrow so I hope you will come back them.
