You Are One in a Melon

I need to build up my stash of thank you cards and so I made three cards this weekend and two of them were Thank You cards. But guess what? I also want to send out 2 thank you cards so my net stash of thank you cards this weekend is zero...lol. Oh well....that is why I make the card...to send them out to brighten someone's day. I just never seem to make them fast enough to build up any kind of stash. For this cute 10 minute card, I used this sketch from Tuesday Throwdown:

That is about it for now...my weekend is over and it is back to work tomorrow. I hope I can be creative this week but I must admit, it is quite the struggle to create during my busy work week. If I do find time to make something, I will be back soon to share it. In the meantime, have a wonderful week.

Happy Birthday Dad

I had a lot of fun this weekend playing along with the Creative Olympics at My Favorite Things. My Dad is turning 86 this weekend and I wanted to make him a card.  So I made this shaker card with inlaid die cutting for him and it qualifies for Event #3.... The Biathalon Challenge.

The paper I used is from my MFT Graphic Grid 6x6 paper pack. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sweet Succulents stamp set. I just love my Stitched Star Peek-a-Boo Window die and Star Shaker pouches that I used in the middle for the shaker window.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Add a Die Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....Monday is done, bring on Tuesday!

Tickled Pink That It's Your Birthday

I have another card to share for the MFT 2018 Creative Olympics. This card is for the first challenge....the Stamping Slalom Challenge. I had to use three different stamp sets on this card:

The pig images are from Hog Heaven, the butterfly image is from Sow Much Cuteness and the sentiment is from Tickled Pink. I also used my mini clouds edges to stencil the cloud background. This is also the first time I used that fabulous Stitched Collage Frame die. I just LOVE my products from MFT!!

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Add a Die Challenge

That's it for now....I will be back momentarily to share my last card in the MFT Creative Olympics.

My Favorite Things Creative Olympics: Speed Card Making

My Favorite Things is having a fun group of challenges to coincide with the Winter Olympics in South Korea and I played along with all four this weekend. The first challenge I took part in was the speed card making challenge. I had to make a card using all MFT products in 20 minutes or less. I gathered my supplies, downloaded a timer app for my phone and started the timer. I was able to create this card (including the coloring) in 19 minutes and 19 seconds.

I loved this challenge...it was a bit stressful but I got the coloring done in no time flat and did not overthink it or keep going over the coloring (which never makes me happy anyway) I think I learned to keep my coloring and shading simple and I like the results better anyway. I used the Pure Innocence 4 Leaf Clover stamp, my brand new diagonal sentiment strip cover and MFT Gum Drop Green card stock.

I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Add A Die Cut Challenge.

That is it for tonight....I will share my other entries for the challenges tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

This card came together very quick and easy using things on my desk. I splattered the background with a brand new set of watercolors well over a month ago when I was just playing with a new set. But I liked the result and put it aside and said...I could use that someday. I think it made the perfect background for my clean and simple birthday card for a dear friend of mine in the Midwest.

I am entering this card in the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge: Sweets For My Sweet

Thanks for stopping in tonight...I will be back soon with more to share.

Sweet Hello

Am I the only one who has cute things out on their craft desk that you want to use someday? Sometimes those items sit on my desk for quite awhile until I find just the perfect project for them. Such was the case for this ice cream cone. When I saw the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week....Sweets For My Sweets I knew it was time to use it. The papers are from Bella Blvd.

I am also entering this card in the Sketch -n-Scrap sketch challenge. I used this awesome sketch of theirs:
The final challenge that I am entering with this card is the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday

Thank you for stopping by my blog....I am crafting all afternoon today....what are you doing?

Coffee Makes You Sharper

I was really inspired by the colors of this challenge to ink up my brand new stamp set from Newton's Nook. This set was on my wish list and a sweet fellow stamper gifted it to me last December. As you can see I used all the colors in the current color challenge:

You can see more details on the blog HERE But hurry the deadline to enter is Friday night.

Thanks for stopping by tonight. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.
