Warm Cozy Wishes

I love crafting wit the colors of fall. I also love thick soft cozy sweaters and boots but I do not get many opportunities to wear them here in Florida. So I love to add them to my cards. This stamp is one of my Favorites from Your Next Stamp. I am entering this card in their Challenge #148 Fall Festival.

I am also entering this card in the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes #458 - #459

That is about it for now. Thank you for stopping by my blog and checking out my creations.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #85 Awesome Autumn

I love crafting this time of year....the colors and images are so wonderful to work with. This card is for the Awesome Autumn Challenge #85 from Lawn Fawnatics. I just got a pack of the Chocolate Bar colored card stock from Lawn Fawn and I have to say it is my favorite shade of brown ever. I used it for the mat on this card and I die cut the thanks from it as well. The acorn and sunflower are from near vintage Lawn Fawn stamp sets and the leafy paper is also from Lawn Fawn. The dried acorns are from a trip a couple of years to a park in St. Augustine where there were literally hundreds on the ground. I filled my purse and my husband's pockets....best acorns ever.

I used this sketch #177 from Sketch-n-Scrap:

I am entering it in the Sketch-n-Scrap sketch challenge

Lawn Fawn Lunch Box Notes

Lawn Fawnatics is having a Back To School challenge which inspired me to make these cute little
(2.5x3 inch ) notes to slip in a lunch box. I used a bunch of different stamps sets......including the nearly vintage Lawn Fawn super hero owl image. These were really fun to look through my sets and pick out images and come up with simple sentiments appropriate for my son's 1st grade step son.

I am entering this set of cards in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #84 Back To School
and
The Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes #456 - #457

That is it for now....back to hockey on one TV and football on another. I am so glad sports are back.
Stay safe and healthy.

Thanks, Dad

My Dad passed away 2 years ago and I think of him everyday. He lived a good, long life of over 86 years and I have many fond memories of him which comfort me when I am missing him. One memory I documented on this page and that is my Dad and maps. We took many cross country road trips in the 1960's  and 70's when I was a kid and Dad did all the navigating on road maps. He continued to use them even though later in life he had a very high quality GPS in his vehicles. I don't think he trusted them. On the rare occasion that he let my husband drive, he sat in the passenger seat navigating with his map.

I am entering this page in the Lasting Memories Challenge #514 Which was to create a layout with a throwback family theme and something that was symbolic of your family history.

I am also entering this layout in the Scrap YOUrself Thankful Challenge.

That is about it for now......I have to finish up a card that has been sitting on my desk for a couple of days so I may be back later to share that. Have a wonderful evening.

Get Well Soon -- Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #83

I was thinking about and planning this card for several days in my head but unfortunately it did not turn out on paper as cute as it was in my head. Have you ever had that happen? But it is still ok and I am sure whenever I send it out (I just made it to have on hand) it will cheer up the recipient.

The challenge for Lawn Fawnatics this time was to make the sentiment the star so I went with my new stitched alphas (LOVE!) and a bird on a branch. I am entering it in their Challenge #83

I am also entering this card in The Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #454 - #455

Well that is all for now....happy September 1st. I hope the weather is cooling down by you. We will not get much of a cool down for a couple months yet.
