I Lava You

Who has seen the short 7 minute animated film "Lava"?  My hubby and I saw it before seeing the Minions Movie last summer and we LOVED it.  It really struck a chord with us because in the film the volcano waits a LONG time to have the perfect partner.  Both Dave and I can totally relate to that feeling that perhaps life will not bring along the perfect companion.  When I saw this stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs, I knew I had to have it, if for no other reason than I wanted the volcano and the "I Lava You" sentiment.  But with lots of little nieces and nephews and some grandkids too, I know I will use the dinosaurs that are part of this set as well.  I used one of the Sugar Pea February sketches:

This was my Valentine's Day card to Dave the other day and he loved it. And I loved making it.

Thanks for stopping by tonight.

Colorado 2016

My hubby and I recently had to make a quick unexpected trip to Colorado for a week.  While there Winter Storm Kayla struck.  Let me tell you, these Floridians were cold and in awe of the weather.  It WAS fun to play in the snow a bit but I was really glad when we hopped on a plane at the end of the week and headed back to Florida!!  I am entering this page in the Scrap March? February Colour Challenge:

I used Lipstick Red, Sea Aqua, Grey Plank and Black Ink.

I am also entering this page in the Scrap Our Stash Book Inspired Stash Challenge I was inspired by the moose-like creature on the cover and the colors. I also have 2 hearts on my page.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....I have a busy weekend but I will be popping in and sharing more creativeness.

Happy Valentine's Day Abby!

I love making Valentine's Day cards. This one was especially fun since I got a chance to color a bit.  I am just learning with my Copic markers and I am enjoying the process. I used this awesome sketch from Viva La Verve.  The image is from the Pure Innocence line of My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....have a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend!

Love You

I needed to make a masculine card for my son to tell him I love him.  He is single and not a big fan of Valentine's Day but I still wanted to express our love for him. This sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch was the perfect inspiration for me.

Thanks for stopping by tonight....it is late and I need to hit the sheets....I get up very early for work.  How early do you get up in the morning?

Twinkle, Twinkle.....

I am a Valentine's Day card and goodie making machine this weekend.  My dad is here for a month from Denver so I feel rather guilty crafting but he understands that I want to get these items made and mailed tomorrow.  For this card I used this awesome sketch from Mojo Monday:

The sentiment is from Verve Stamps......isn't it sweet?

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
