My granddaughter is turning four this week. And she is everything a four year old should be. She is sweet but sassy. She's a very good girl with that glint of mischief in her eye. She wants to know why, she hates bedtime, she has a complicated relationship with her little sister, she is busy every waking moment and she loves BIG. I miss her and hate that living 1000 miles away means that I miss eating cake with her this week and giving her 4 birthday smooches. But I made this card for her last night and mailed it off today along with her gifts. I wish I could see her open them but I will talk to her Wednesday and hear all about her day. I love that little bundle of energy. My daughter-in-law texted me tonight and said that she can't believe Abby is going to be 4 already. I told Amy not to blink because the next thing you know she will be 16 and driving the car.
I used this sketch from Card Positioning System for this card:
All the papers are from the Celebrate stack from DCWV, the twine is Marachino Cherry from the Twinery and the felt flower is from Pebbles, Inc. I am linking my card up over at this week's Birthday Sundaes challenge.
She will certainly feel special with this card from Grandma. I love the color scheme. Blessings!

ReplyDeleteAdorable card. I've got a grandson turning 4 in a month. It is a very special age. So sad you can't be there to give her those 4 smooches.

ReplyDeleteSorry that you couldn't be with her in person.
