Birthday Wishes

I have a friend with whom I have shared a friendship with for 50 years. Her birthday is next week and she is a real animal lover (especially dogs) so I made this card for her using a brand new to me stamp set. I colored the little Frenchie to look just like my Daphne.

Lasting Memories Guest Design Team Week #4

This is my 4th and final layout as a guest member of the Lasting Memories Design Team for April. I have really enjoyed being part of the team and was inspired to create 4 layouts. This page features my niece and her doggo Badger who recently passed away. I am working on a memorial scrapbook for her of Badger and I am happy to say that I am almost finished.....3 more pages to go.

Easter 2021 -- Lasting Memories Guest Designer Week #3

I am sorry to be posting this a day late but yesterday my 80 year old in-laws came over for dinner. It was the first time we had seen them in over a year so we had a very busy day cooking cleaning and visiting. But it was a fun day and so very good to see them now that all of us have been vaccinated.

You Rock 15

It is had for me to believe that my grandson Cole is halfway through his teen years at the ripe ol' age of 15.  Cole is fun, friendly, and has weathered some storms in his life with grace, maturity and wisdom. My son calls him the backbone of the family. I haven't seen him in 19 months due to Covid-19 but am looking forward to making up for lost time this summer.

I am enjoying being challenged this month as a guest design team member over at Lasting Memories. This week's challenge was to use a 4x4 photo on our page. This picture that I sniped from my son's IG feed was perfect.

I am also entering this layout in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Happy Birthday Challenge.

Lasting Memories Guest Design Team Week #1

Good morning and Happy Easter!! I am so excited to be one of April's Guest Designers at Lasting Memories. I really had fun creating this layout of my great-niece and her dog Badger. I am creating a whole memorial album for Reyna and her family as a surprise. They do not read my blog so I am safe sharing it here.

The Lasting Memories challenge this week is a word play challenge. I had to create a layout using an item that begins with each letter in the word EASTER. Here is my entry......

E - enamel hearts (on the kraft envelope)

A - arrow

S - stickers

T - tag

E - envelope

R - red

I loved this Page Map Sketch so I somewhat loosely based my page on it:

I kept the title and tag placement along with the layout of the background papers. I substituted one photo for the 4 smaller ones shown in the sketch. That is what I love about using sketches....they are great to use as a jumping off point or to follow closely. As the maker of the layout it is totally up to me.
