It is that time again....time for the Coffee Lovers Bloghop. This one is the fall edition and oh my! what gorgeous cards are being linked up. Amy Tsuruta works very hard on these bloghops and they are something I really look forward to with some great prizes from awesome sponsors just as the frosting on the cake.
I am just a bit late to the party thanks to good ol' Hurricane Irma. I usually start making cards at least a week ahead of time but I was not able to do that this time. We were hit hard by the storm last Sunday night into Monday morning. Let me tell you, it is a very scary thing to have a powerful hurricane hit your area during the night. My hubby was sound asleep and I was wide awake literally shaking in our bed. I heard his cell phone go off with a tornado warning for us and pow! we were hit by either a micro-burst or a weak tornado and it ripped all the shingles off the south side of our roof. That part of the roof just happens to be over my scraproom so I am very grateful that we did not get any water intrusion. But we were without power until Friday night and needless to say until today, there was no time for creativity. I did get into my scraproom today and created this card with the awesome Viva La Verve sketch from Julee Tilman at Verve Stamps:
The sentiment and coffee cup image are digital stamps that Julee designed and created as well....what a talented lady.
I am offering some blog candy for one of the commenters on my blog posts this week (yes....this bloghop runs through Friday 9/22) Just leave me a comment and I will pick and post a winner next Sunday 9/24/17. Here is my prize I am offering:
That is it for tonight....I need to get to bed. We are exceptionally busy at work because as some of you know, my husband and I work in sales for a roofing distribution company. Hurricanes mean crazy busy days for us so I need to get some rest.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and please make sure to check out all the other entries in this bloghop and maybe even enter your own creations for a chance to win one of many awesome prizes. Just go HERE for all the details.

Oh my goodness, that must have been so scary for you! I'm glad you didn't sustain too much damage, that could have been devastating. Your sweet coffee card is lovely, the burlap base is fabulous and I love the blues and browns together!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got through Irma okay, and even managed to make a card..I am in awe! Love that beautiful fall design and the burlap is a wonderful touch.
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, love the addition of burlap!
ReplyDeleteHere in Australia we have been watching Irma head towards land in America with great concern for everyone's well being. I'm glad that you have had minimal damage and all is well and back in balance when you can get back to scrapping.
ReplyDeleteSandi, so glad that you guys are okay and didn't have any water damage!
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome....love the burlap base!
Your card is fabulous. That full coverage of burlap is wonderfully fall!
ReplyDeleteTake care and wishing you all the best~
Hi Sandi, so HAPPY to hear you are ok! Thise tornadoes, to me, were the scariest part of Irma! My hubby sat huddled in the 1/2 bath while one traveled less than 1/2 mile from the house (I was at my mom's 20 miles away). Other than a roof leak, all is well here, too. Your card is lovely and I hope we see more from you. Be well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are safe and could join the hop! your cards are beautiful and i love all the color in your second card!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! Great color combo and textures, and I love the pumpkin design on the cup! Awesome Verve stamp!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card! Love the texture the burlap gives and love the colors!

ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful card, Sandi and I love that little pad I got from you.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch. Fun using the burlap.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you didn't have any damage or injury from the hurricane but that must have been terrifying. It was bad enough watching it on TV but being there must have been terrible. I can't believe you were able to make this gorgeous card in the middle of all that craziness but am so glad you are able to share. I love the Verve digi stamp and beautiful coloring.
ReplyDeleteSandi, so happy to hear you and your DH are okay and didn't have water damage from Florida's uninvited and unwanted 'guest' Irma!
ReplyDelete~ Your card for the CLBH is fabulous.
I love your lovely project and I can only imagine how frustrated you must have been with dealing with the after affects of Irma. So glad you are okay and able to craft a bit again.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your damage wasn't devastating.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you can participate in the hop!
Pretty card!
So sorry about Irma coming to visit and the damage that was caused - our church was praying for people and places in Florida - many of my friends have 2nd homes down there - they were blessed to have minimal damage-- and no flooding!! Now on to commenting on your lovely card:
