Wow....this has been a rough week. Hurricane Irma hit our area hard and we lost most of our roof (just the shingles, thankfully). We were without power for 5 long, hot, humid days. My in-laws generously lent us their generator when their power never went out. Generators are really noisy and thirsty little buggers....it cost about $40 per day in hard to find gasoline to keep it running. But I was so grateful because we were able to keep from losing the contents of our refrigerator/freezer. And then the generator stopped putting out power....nice. So we packed everything up and moved over to my dad's home which had the power restored already. We got our power back Friday night so this weekend was spent trying to clean-up and put everything back in order. Whew! I am exhausted and my weekend is already over....back to work in the morning.
Before the storm hit, I made this card for my husband's brother and family who just moved into a big beautiful new home in North Carolina. My friend Suzanne made me that adorable mailbox with her Cricut years ago and I recently found it in my stash. I knew it was perfect for this card. I used this card sketch from Stick It Down:
Well, that is about it for now. I may share in another post a card I made today....or I may just go sit on the couch and watch the football game. I need a little relaxation time.
