I can hardly believe that my grandson Cole is going to be 12 years old next weekend. It actually makes me want to cry....children grow up so fast and grandchildren even faster it seems. He is such an awesome kid and so much fun to be around, I hope he will still want to hang out with me for a couple more years when I am in town visiting. I made a unique card for him today and it took quite awhile to complete. The current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown is More Than One Fold so I made a three part card. I am not sure if there is a name for this type of card but if you count the front of the card (pictured above) there are four panels on it. It wasn't easy to photograph but here are a couple of photos to give you an idea of how it is designed:
And here is the card fully opened:
I used a brand new stencil from My Favorite Things to make the brick wall background and the images and sentiments are from a Never Before Used stamp set by Avery Elle called Stoked. I bought the set because Cole is a skateboarder and a snowboarder. There is a snowboarder image in this stamp set that I will be using to make Cole's Christmas card this year. So since I am using some Never Before Used Schtuff, I am entering this card in Darnell's NBUS challenge.
And one final challenge I am entering is the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.
That is about it for today. Thank you for stopping by to check out my creations.

Wow, this is brilliant, really cool card for a young man. Super fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card for your Grandson, Sandi!
ReplyDeleteI hear what you're saying ~ my oldest grand just turned 16 in July! Yikes!
Cole is going to love your awesome four-panel card, Sandi! And I am going immediately to buy that stamp set to make cards for my own 12 yo (sob, almost 13 yo!) grandsons! Adam is a snowboarder and Henry plays the drums!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove.
